This looks so cool.. Why does the climb not look at large here compared to the last one you posted?

Yeah a couple wrong turns if people were not following their GPX, the organisers did make it very clear we had to follow. Cant do much if kids are flipping signs around.. Also its not reserved just for our local races, I saw in the latest Lifetime recap series, the lead ladies took a 3km wrong turn in the run in to the finish and that included the gravel world champ. Lets call wrong turns the last bit of 'Spirit of Gravel' that still exists haha Otherwise epic epic race, will never get used to how fast that first 10km is and then how slow the last 10km are.

Tyres are probably the most heated debate in all the gravel world haha. Ive listened to about 6hours worth podcasts of grown men debating between 42s and 47s 😅

The segment from McGreogor to the top of the climb is also a bastard. There are some descents but coupled with the rollers and the final climb it actually ends up being 18km at 6% which is essentially 10 x Suikerbossie South side

Its not only the steepness of the climb but its the length that its steep for, just so relentless! On top of that is the 35kpmh average you mentioned, its full gas racing for 100km and then the climb. Also what you cant see on the profile because the final climb skews it so much, is that the whole course is pretty lumpy with a decent climb in the middle. Definitely study those videos!

Keen for this year, hoping to not completely explode before the final climb even begins again.

Gravel bike was best option, smooth dirt roads, fast single track, 4 river crossings, 2 fallen down trees to climb over, a CX style grass bank, some mud and a MASSIVE mountain

Hey David, Logged in a bout 2 weeks ago - its amazing man well done! Hoping some top team buys it off you and you get filthy rich! Anyway quick question. I did a Ramp test on zwift and the eFTP intervals.icu gave me was quite different to the FTP zwift gave me? Any thoughts? Apologies if this is a stupid question or has been answered before.

Anyone know how many groups there starting? Had a better group in CTCC and finished 2nd in that group? Oh well never done it before so wont complain, cant wait the route looks so good!
