So the Driver gets off with R5000 bail, shocking, this guy should be in jail, but as the justice says, innocent until proven guilty but if we all know the truth then this should be scrapped i say. Hope he gets what he deserves.....

I noticed the Accident occured on the Driver side, this guy must of been pretty f'ed while driving on wrong side of the road and still had a head on with the Cyclist, for that he should not even have a trial... Like the other Hubber said, Papa wag vir hom... Condolences to the Family, and may he RIP..

Eina Bliksem, hope he wasn,t doing the crazy speeds some of these hubbers are speaking about when he hit the car....

Why do roadies get angry at one when they take over the road and one hoots at them to move asside, if the speed limit states 60km/h and the roadie doing 25-35km/h, the rules state keep left and pass right, so why do you not keep as far left as possible so the cars can pass you without making a newsence of yourselves. Would say this would only be a considerate thing to do but then again there are not many considerate wanna be Pro Roadies....... *Morning Rant over*

i only have one mechanic who EVER works on my bike and that is Lourens Calitz @ Cycle Centre in Edward str, he is a master wheelbuilder and really good! Thread jack Cycle Centre is the bomb, no complaints there and offer good personal service. Also had my rear wheel rebuild there still running like a machine...

Always thought he was a humble guy but after the race and him complaining, he has lost my respect. He had the race in the bag and tapped of to soon and now he is shifting his loss to other factors but not looking at himself, Asshole.....

Highlight - finishing 1:30min quicker than planned Low Light - 2 x Quad bikes on never ender riding at 20km/h in front of us and making a m03rse dust cloud to ride in, not cool

Couldn't asked for better riding conditions. Was a great day out in the Kloof. Much better route than the LangsBaviaans... This is a definate Fixture on my Calender for years to come.

Must say the Mountain is not to bad now, been going there weekly for last 2-3 months, early morning and late afternoons, start from High Cape to Block house then Rhodes and back home, no sign of any troublemakers, only the odd Hiking couple or other cyclists. If there is being work done to keep it safe for us keep up the good work.

For all the Experienced Trans riders, what will be a good time to get to check 3 to avoid going up and down Bergplaas in total darkness. thinking if you maintain a ave speed of 23-28km/h one should be fine. If someone can give a guidline this will be great help, Thanks

The Wind Guru said that we have clear skies for the start in Willowmore slight NW of 4knots and same for the Baviaans with no cloud cover. Also no real threat of rain in the week leading up to the race, lets hope the Guru weather report holds....

nothing wrong, he might need to go into Africa for Business and no flights back on a Friday, only Sat. But not confirmed yet so for now all systems go.

Just to put it out there, might need to sub my team mate for trans but not yet 100% confirmed. are there any provisional takers to join for this ride, wanting to do a 12-14 hour trans if it is faster than estimated time..... If the weather is like last year be prepared have loads of H2O can get hot out there. Also make sure u have a bit of Hill training behind you, I know the longer route had couple of steep climbs.
