  1. Hi Ebbe, welcome to The Hub, I am a Thule dealer based in Durban - The strap-on Thule rack does work to a point but Thule doesnt recomend it on a vehicle with a boot spoiler. I am sure the Golf 6 would have such a spoiler (Boot or Roof) The cheapest option is to put a tow bar WITHOUT the electronics (just the ball) and then buy a 2,3 or 4 bike Thule hang on. No electronics needs for these bike rack models - Send me a private message and I can give you prices. The roof rack option is also good option except it comes with the danger of forgetting about your bike and driving into your garage !!!
  2. its often a time thing - In KZN ROAG events the entrys close on a Wednesday and there is not enough time to still print the t-shirts in time for the event on the weekend so the organisers kinds of wing it and guess the size ratio
  3. I ride with the Westville racing group from the garage next to the Spar Monday to Thursday
  4. I am in Cental Westville - Ride on the road during the week and normal try do I MTB ride on the weekend. Allways keen to ride
  5. I am allways looking for new places to ride on Weekends - if you get something going let me know as I would be keen to join I am in Westville so its not to far
  6. Just move to KZN , this morning was a VERY COLD morning and we just got to single digits - 9 degrees when I got up, we still ride at 4.15 AM no sweat ! Arm warmers and long gloves only - not long leggings needed - The more hardcore guys still dont wear gloves
  7. You go to www.saactive.com and click on claim discovery point Simple
  8. Cytomax rules - Go grape is the best flavour used it for years now. Train on water if the ride is less than 3 hours otherwise - 1 bottle water and 1 bottle cytomax !!! Tried 32Gi and it did nothing for me...
  9. I had a simular problem about a year and a half ago. My Trek 9.9 top fuel broken on the carbon weld the holds the rear shock onto the frame (before the EVO connection)and sent me flying over the bars at 30kms an hour. The bike was sent back to Trek USA via Cycle Lab and Trek acknowledge it to be a factory fault and that was abour 2 weeks later - I waited about another month for the warantee frame from to come from the USA. I was given the new then 2009 frame which was a bonus but the whole exercise took about 6 weeks. Happy waiting

    rocket ron

I had the exact same problem with Rocket Rons - apparently they are not true tubeless tyres rather tubless ready - what ever the difference is ? but apparently they will eventually seal you just have to give them time. I gave up and changed them to Lustys.
  11. Take your bike to Good 2 Go - pay the small fee for them to clean it and check all the working parts are in order !

    Watt output

There are 4 or 5 power meters available - each have pros and cons. SRM or The "Rolls Royce" of power meter - it is fitted in the crank - expect to pay between 20 & 30K - biggest advantage is that you can change wheels and not effect the meter. Disadvantage is the price. Power Tap - The most popular in my opinion of all power meters. Expect to pay new around 15K (I think)- the power meter sits in the rear hub. Disavantage if you have race wheels then you need two powertap hubs. Also limited to what wheels that are compatable with - my Bora dont work with a power tap. Polar Power Meter - More affordable about 6K - but there are questions of how accurate the meter is and I know of a few people that cant get it to work at all or only works when it wants to. Sit on the back chain so wheels etc easy to change. IBike Pro 3rd Gen - Works differently to other meters in that it measure the wind verlocity rather than the power out put. Again accuracy is a question - Price about 5K - I am currently trying the IBike out - have used it twice so its hard to give feed back. Meter sits on the stem thus changing wheels etc is not a problem. Ergomo - I have one in the cupboard if anyone wants to buy it. Great meter - sits in the BB but I changed from record 10 spd to 11 spd and wanted to ride compact crank. Cant do that with this meter. I am not sure if the company (German) is still around or not. For me the best "dash board" of all the power meters. Everything is available at all times EG IF, TSS, AVE Power ETC. Hope this helps
  13. I tried it on two longish rides (2 hours and 4 hours). Both rides have to be the worst rides i have ever done. I got dropped by guys that I would normally not have a problem to stay with. What was different ? Only the GI 32 Cytomax RULES - Go grape flavour !!!
  14. I ride super record with a Cervelo Soloist, your problem is more than likely in the setup of the groupset. As it is 11 speed it is quiet difficult to get 100 % right but when you get the set up spot on it will ride like a dream. My bike went back a few times before my LBS got it right.
