Thanks Chris, took the bike for a shakedown today. Impressed with the bike, need to find the sweet spot with the front fork. Pressure too high presently, will work on that this week.

Hoogekraal morning ride

The JSL40 is expensive. After seeing how my son’s riding improved I am glad to have spent the extra money to buy him a quality bike and the correct size. I agree with ChrisF on the sizing issues, no use buying a bike that is too big. Unfortunately it probably means changing bikes every two years for now.

Dura Ace is lighter, more expensive, made from supposedly better materials and offers more bling than say 105. The average rider out on the road there would probably be just as happy with a 105 groupset. The ten speed cassette gives you smaller steps between the different gear ratios so that you can fine tune your cadence better.
