The concrete road was built decades ago as an access road to the microwave radio towers at the top. The Bloemendal function venue was built during later years and had a concession to make use of the road. Before the restaurant the gate at bottom was locked.

Probably 1.5 hours easy driving Chris. Last did this event in 1997. Years moving on now[emoji51]

Nice Fair Cape loop this afternoon, trails has settled down nicely after the 40mm + rain this week.

Well done, the kids winter school sport program is playing havoc with my weekend morning rides. Must say this afternoon was perfect out on the trails past Fair Cape and Malanshoogte.

Very good news, keep on fighting.

Majik Forest is a municipal area open to everybody so I don’t know who is going to maintain the trails. Council seem to cut the vegetation back but that is where it ends.
