  1. Nice purchase, enjoy. Did you run or ride?
  2. So according to the poll, the Spez which are top of the range bikes comes out with one of the worst performing suspension designs. Interesting.
  3. Why of course, you just need to know what you are doing, even on my 26" hardtail. I love riding both my bikes, the full sus being 2.5kg heavier. I have equal amounts of fun, I ride the hardtail the same way I ride the full sus. Go hard or go home I say.
  4. In MapMyRide, how on earth do you get your route to start and stop at the same place, Like setting a home point and when nearby I can just click on the green arrow thing to finish the ride, is that what the loop function does? Not fully understanding the lollipop thing though or out & back, whats the difference? Also does it help if I click more often along the route?
  5. At least Ive finally found somewhere to try stuff.
  6. Its was at a LBS in Durban, don't you just love getting ripped off, even better to be told so
  7. Thats what you get for being a noobie, won't happen again thats for sure.
  8. Thats from Cyclesphere in Morningside, they are R1450 less 40% at the moment. For the Craft bibs(Elite) I actually got a call back from Cyclelab in Durban North(Kensington Drive), the only shop I didn't go to. This after I sent an email to the Assos agents. They have all the Assos makes in stock. So now the question should be Assos vs Craft vs Giordana Bib shorts
  9. Not sure what they are even like though, are they recommended, everyone says go with the Assos or Giordana's.
  10. Out of 6 shops I've called and visited none of them stock Assos in Durban, I'm left with Giordana's or Kraft to choose from. The Giordana have two models I can choose from, the laser for R1760 or the Silverline for R1360. Then there are Kraft forR1450 less 40% these are the Elite Model. Anyone know who the Assos agents are, and is it a good idea to buy without trying them on, my Anotomics where a medium. How crazy that its so difficult to find a pair of Bib shorts, any suggestions from the Durban folk who else to call, I've tried Leighs, CycleLab Hillcrest, CycleMotion(westville), Cyclelab Gateway, Dave Wisemans, KT Cycles, Cyclesphere and Bring it On. Only option so far to even try on is the Giordana, FFS.
  11. Where can I have a look at some? Do they have a website?
  12. I was looking at the Uno's and was going to be my next question, have looked online and whats the major differences besides the Mille are four panel cut as opposed to 6 panel on the Uno's
  13. Is there a rating on chamois? I see First Ascent say they do them at an 80 or 100 for the foam
  14. It helps to keep the chamois in the correct place.
  15. I should jolly well hope so at that price, do they help you climb better or ride faster as well fix mechanicals if needed?
  16. To spend 3k on a pair of bibs that fall apart after a year is crazy, I would rather use half that for something else, seems the Anatomic I had was not bad for two years of wear for R1500, could have had a slightly better padded chamois.
  17. Im going to go check out Dave Wiseman & Cyclesphere this week, seems they are the only ones that hold stock of bibs.
  18. Then Good2Go, may also be an option, but in saying that they are also more geared towards MTBIng
  19. Can you combine routes? A mapped ride via a website(mapmyride) with what you have actually ridden?
  20. So general consensus being to use MapMyRide for mapping your own routes for tar & district roads?
  21. I would also recommend them, but Mavericks build a better wheelset. I'm also about to have another wheelset built, I will be going to Mavericks. Its R150/ wheel at Good2Go, and about R250/wheel with Mavericks. Just need to confirm that today as I have to order some spokes & nipples first.
  22. Which site would you recommend? I see someone suggested Mapmyride
  23. Good question, I would also like to know if this is possible.
