  1. They used to do those adverts on telly years ago with the Topsport cycling glasses where they shot the lenses with the shotgun
  2. They are not designed that way, its just the nature of the material used for the lenses - Polycarbonate. Most lenses are made from this. Its not specific to Oakley.
  3. Classic Eyes @ The Pavillion, I'll get the name of the girl I normally see tonight for you - She was one of the most helpful people I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. The range has gotten smaller and they have made the whole shop smaller recently, Im sure they can sort them out for you.
  4. Not at all, the lenses are made of polycarbonate, they are photochromic as well.
  5. I use Adidas Adizero, not had any issues with lenses fogging, mine are full prescription lenses though. I find the air flow is awesome. Also the pricing is not too bad.
  6. I'm not not knocking it, just didn't realise thats what it would cost. Do you rent out a lot of bikes? I'm just curious
  7. Not really sure what to make of this. I came across his link in the comments section on the News24 website while reading the story about the chap, Daryl Peense,he is the guy who spilled his drink on our beloved President. http://youtu.be/fYPmozPtMwQ
  8. Not sure of pricing at all, but R350 a day seems crazy to rent a bike. I see they are top end bikes, but phew
  9. The weapon's blade was embedded 5cm into Zhang Bin's forehead as he mucked about with friends at home. The 15-year-old was rushed to a local hospital, but medics there were unable to treat him. He then had to endure a four-hour drive to another hospital 250 miles away in Changsha, Hunan Povince, China. Zhang said: "Three classmates came to visit me at home and one of them brought a sword. "He stood 3-4m away from me. I don't know how the sword flew at me and stabbed into my head. "I felt sharp pains and a large amount of blood streamed down." Doctors rushed Zhang into surgery and the sword was removed during a four hour op. The chief surgeon said: "Luckily the knife didn't touch the arteries in the skull and key nerves, otherwise it would have been a different story." Zhang is expected to make a full recovery. Here are the X-ray pics as well.
  10. Eish, someone is gonna had a headache in the morning.
  11. Thats not really an excuse for a lock either. Sorry to hear about the loss though.
  12. Lamborghini = Fail Norwegian rap star Tshawe Baqwa was test-driving the £140,000 Gallardo supercar when he decided to stop at a fast food drive-thru for a bite to eat. Between ordering his meal and picking it up, the 200mph car overheated and burst into flames
  13. Yes or No ? New Beetle Another pic, although this looks a bit different
  14. Another reply from the folks at Tread - The postal service can take anything from 2 days to 2 weeks to deliver - if there was another option we would use it! Our distributor starts delivering from early next week, and then the various stores load their shelves there after (this can also take them a week). So I then asked about the people with subscriptions, This was the reply, Caerus we have never committed to getting subscribers their copies before they are in stores. Why? Because it can never be guaranteed. Even the big publishers don't make that commitment anymore. TREAD is actually an alternate monthly (6 issues a year), not a monthly.
  15. Oh the exclusivity of the subscription
  16. Just got this reply from the Tread Facbook site, Hi Gents, Yes, we have had a few delays with this issue. We have been eagerly awaiting this issue to hit shelves as much as you have. I personally collected the first copies off the press this am and our team are posting to subscribers today. The distributor will be sending out to your nearest stores first thing next week. Any questions, please feel free to contact Sean or myself at any time.
  17. Yip, another week and still nothing - Subscription is a waste of time
  18. Nothing yet, we have been only talking about it. Seems there are a few people with the same issue. Just went and looked at the thing again and all it needs is slightly longer tubes(possibly 100-125mm), The other way wont work. Either way I'm getting something made up that enable me to carry two bikes comfortably without to much hassle. I'll keep you posted.
  19. Not to sure if anyone else would want one, but I was looking at getting a new "u"( where the bikes clamp on) rolled tube as per the Thule hangon version but with enough room for two bikes for myself as I have the same problem, as well as two friends of mine. It would be powdercoated as well Would anyone be interested in getting one? If Im going to do 3( myself and two mates), it may make the cost less if the order was for more.
  20. I think the Ice rotors are a sandwich of materials, as opposed to the normal solid S/S rotor.
  21. Do you have to go with centre lock?
  22. You have the race versions then?
  23. It seems that CRC only do a centre lock XTR rotor , you may have to go with the XT rotors, http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=67197 . Did they say you have to go with the Shimano rotors, why can't you use any 6 bolt rotor? Do they not do an adapter?
