Hey Neil, whats your take on the stolen bikes that end up at your shop? Please do enlighten us all.

These are two totally different circumstances though, three(thats what I know of) guys that are on The Hub have all found there stolen bikes on his property/ in his possesion/ in his shop. Those are FACTS. As for the other case, its may seem ridiculous but what if it had turned out differently and the bike had in fact been stolen? As with another recent case published here on the interweb. What the person should have done was get ALL the avaliable info and approach the actual person, no need for any gung-ho antics.

It has been a while since a "power blance type thread" reared its ugly head I agree if you are naive enough to fall for it, then too bad so sad.

That big "IF". If you are a more casual rider who cannot afford the membership, R40/ day can be expensive.

I understand all the logic behind how rates & cost can be justified/ determined. Even Giba, at R800/year doesn't have enough signage Oh right, R280 is nothing then for a yearly membership - makes much more sense. Gosh if they made it even R500 a year, those signs that are needed can be included into the costs. Maybe even a proper maps at the all the entrances to make people aware.

That is crazy to think you would be expected to pay R5200/ year to ride, Giba is only R800/ year and I can ride as often as I like, add another R250/year for a EMBA board and youre free to ride pretty much anywhere at anytime. R50 a ride is pretty expensive, I even think R40/day to ride is expensive, its ok few times only a month, but as Jimmy pointed out, it will be way out of reach for many.
