  1. If a mate is sending it then not at all, its a gift They can send the invoice in the post later if you need it for warranties
  2. My boss was just saying that in Cape Town(not sure how true this is) they are now taking to ram raiding the bike stores and stealing to order. Its not random bikes that are being taken, they exactly to take.
  3. This a terrible story to have to read , all the best to MadDog.
  4. OK' that makes sense. I was under the impression that using Coke in such applications was a fallacy.
  5. Whats going on with the coke? Why use it
  6. This is what happens to you when you're involved in Scientology ;
  7. Whats the coke doing? We are talking Coca Cola here
  8. Would that not be from pad & rotor choice?
  9. I do hope I wont be sorry, the current HOPE C2 I have on my recently done up GT are just not doing it for me(dont want an "Evans" to happening to me). The Saints are the dogs bollocks
  10. Ok cool, thanks for that . So basically the new set goes onto my Trance, with the old SLX going onto my GT Hardtail.
  11. Anyone else got any ideas on the questions posed?
  12. Ok sweet, happy days. I see the CWC price is R1000 more on the XT brakeset, with that saving I can get the other parts I require
  13. Would that work still if Ive paid and the invoice is in my name, or should she pay for it herself?
  14. No hassles for the 3rd party at all, my boss wants his stuff, so his wife just brings it all back. I just thought I may be able to save some cash on the CRC route. That way I could upgrade my stem, headset and seatpost(with the savings)
  15. Also from the good reviews Ive read, and speaking to other people.
  16. No specific reason, I just prefer the Shimano brakes. Im also looking at the new XTR. I also wanna keep to having both bikes with Shimano brakesets. Any other suggestions would be great.
  17. Im wanting to upgrade my brakeset to Shimano XT( the wife gave me the go ahead as she has just had a very nice holiday to Cape Town, thanks wife ), I am hoping to buy from CRC as my bosses wife is currently in the UK. So I have a couple questions to ask: If I pay for the CRC order from South Africa and get it sent to an adress in the UK, so she can bring it back with her, will I be subject to any vat or duties? My boss is also wanting to get some stuff. If the advertised price is R961.04 and when I get to the basket the unit price changes to R1098,34 - Is this because of varying exchange rates? I have the postage set to being sent to the UK so that is saying free postage. Is there a reason why with the XT brakes, the front & back are the same price, but with the XTR brakes there is an almost R500 difference between front & back. What is the difference between post and Is mount, also which one would I need to get (Giant Trance 2009 & Fox 32 F120 RL Fork )Many Thanks
  18. You need to take both bikes for a spin(if possible do it offroad), but now that your'e saying that you are actually 1.82 then a large is definitely the way to go Trust me on this, as I said my mate who is now shorter then you had the medium and it was too small.
  19. If you can, take both bikes (med & large) for a test ride. Don't just rely on a spin around the shop, my mate who also rides a Trance is your height really should have been on a large but was on a medium.
  20. I'm 1.82 and ride a large Trance X2, I tried the Medium and it just felt a weird ride.
  21. They are dangleberries for old folk.
  22. Thanks for that, Emo Kid had me a bit confused as he was mentioning "joints" when "pivot" was the correct terminology. I see that on my bosses Santa Cruz Tallboy he runs the bottom swing. I then run the top swing on my Giant Trance
