Why such a sceptic that this is a big syndicate? If they are watching the riders, and are leaving the bikes for someone to fetch, it can only be a syndicated theft/bike- jacking. A couple weeks ago some other guys were watched and then high jacked, they even knew who rode in their group. There is nothing opportunitstic at all about these crimes:angry: .

They target groups, get 3 -5 bikes at once. A group will not deter these thugs, all the more reason to bike- jack. The mircochip idea is good.Just battery life is the problem

Ive said this all along, makes you sick to think that its someone involved in the industry or a fellow cyclist. I suppose their will always be dodgy people involved, no matter what the business/industry is. You just wonder who? This may be way off the mark & very speculative but could shops/dealers be involved so that more bikes/parts get sold. It wouldnt be the first time this sort of thing has happened Does make you think though. I think we as a cycling community should all get involved in the eBlockwatch and start looking out for each other more.
