  1. Bicycle chain whips & pomps.
  2. I sent him details for Bridge, but they didn't have his size, they did however have mine and I collect Thursday.
  3. So gutted I'm going miss this . I saw all the posters up while in Jozi this past weekend. The missus has said she will go and take pics for me, she doesn't even cycle, lol.
  4. So managed to track down some Sidi Dragon 3's to try on and they fit well in the Size 45's and are very comfy. Strangely though, the other shoes in the Sidi range sizing went from a 43 to the 46 So now to make a decision, do I pay R2k for S-Works(2013), R1600 for the Spez Pro's(2013) which are only in black or pay the R3250 for the white Sidi's. Damn these first world choices.
  5. What a painful experience that was
  6. Just been quoted R2000 for S/Works and R1600 for the Pro from a Spez retailer(2013 range) Everyone else is quoting R3200 for the S/Works.
  7. I need to try on the Sidi somewhere first though, which is proving to be a problem. I know I fit the 43.5/ 44 in the Spez perfectly.
  8. Now the fun really begins in trying to actually source stock, which so far is proving fruitless of both the Spez and Sidi shoes. How hard could it be for shops to actually stock stuff, No Wonder people shop overseas, it's so darn frustrating. Not having much luck with Cape Town stores either. May have to resort to Durban shops as well.
  9. So I went to many bike shops yesterday, only to leave all empty handed. First off Northcliff Cycles, nothing in stock. Great store and service, but choice was limited. Then to Linden cycles, nice shop and service was ok, but again very little in terms of choice. It was then off too Concept in Melrose Arch, I had called on Friday to tell them I would be in and to keep the shoes for me to try on. I get there and they have sold the pair I had told them to keep, not very impressed, even trying to get any more info from them seemed a drag for the shop assistant - Massive fail for me in terms of service, the owner didn't even really try to make a plan. Then went to Dunkeld Cycles, but again very little to no stock. I left after walking around for 15mins and not being asked if I needed help, then to also have the staff leering at my girlfriend. Won't go back there that's for sure. All in all, I was left fairly dissapointed in terms of stock & service from the four shops I visited. Seems I will have to see what is available in Cape Town now, hopefully CWC will come to the rescue once again.
  10. Thanks for all the help and advice, much appreciated. Will be trying them Monday when I pick up the new bike - Have a great weekend.
  11. Sorry my bad, it's the Dragon 3 for R3250 and the Eagles for R2300
  12. Sidi Eagle 6 for R2300 or Sidi Dragon 5(not sure of price but CWC will sort me out) Will stick with Shimano Pedals as they are on both my other bikes
  13. Specialized,Sidi or Suplest? Just trying to narrow down between the two now
  14. Been quoted R2800 for the S-Works shoes at Melrose Concept Cyclery in Jozi , going tomorrow to check them out. Then will check out Northcliff Cycles as well.
  15. If you can find them that would be awesome, I'm up in Jozi this weekend, so maybe we could make a plan to meet up somewhere, thanks for the input.
  16. Thanks for the reply. I don't mind the extra grand if they fit well and will last a while, my last pair of shoes have served me well for over 5 years now so time for an upgrade me thinks. As for the pedals, I want a pair just for the road bike, but that will work for the same shoe/ cleats. I have a spare pair of Shimano SPD's but they are fairly heavy.
  17. I will be taking delivery of my new road bike on Monday, so am looking at getting some carbon soled shoes that I can use for both the MTB & the new road bike, as I don't feel like splashing out too much, I needed a new pair of shoes anyway and was hoping that I can find a pair that is suitable for both. Secondly, what are the best pedals to use if I'm going be using mountain bike shoes on the road bike, something that won't weigh a too much either. I do like the Spez shoes as they seem to fit my feet better, my feet are broad so nothing to narrow. Any suggestions please?
  18. What a beautiful song - Love Pearl Jam, Eddie Vedder rocks.
  19. I will add this though, they are bending over backwards to put this right, which I am now more then happy about, and they are more then coming to the party, seems they are willing to bring it me. I will follow up with the full story next week. I realise mistakes happen, and it's how a shop sorts it out. Two thumbs up to Chris Snr & Chris Jr
  20. A lot, I got jinxed. The less said the better at his moment in time. Well seems even more disappointment as of 2 mins ago. Where is that crying emoticon, they are coming to the party though, but I bought a bike and not ridden it since I bought it.
  21. Yeah, still not resolved and one really annoyed and pissed of client right now.
  22. My rant will be coming very soon if I do not get any answers asap.
  23. Love you long time
  24. Talk about an extreme sport, we are taking it from all sides
