So there I was this am on my normal training ride. Thought it was a nice day so would head up Kloof Neck (very nice climb in CBD Cape Town) when all of a sudden about 200m into the climb on the nice steep drag and f*$^#n taxi pulled out and it me. He let the car in front of me go and then slowly edged forward. As my rear wheel mid way past the front of the car we went and guess what.. Yeah hit me. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Now there was no damage to me and the bike only has a buckled wheel. All the bastard could say was I?m sorry. I then asked him for is details but refused to give them so I just took his plate numberl? This then got nasty and heavy words were involved. During this argument the twat said I must look out for him and I should have stopped. 2 things how can I stop if I can?t see him as he hit me from behind. Secondly to those that know Kloof Neck the road user either coming up or down have right of way. There is only 1 set of traffic lights at the bottom? This is now the 6th car that has hit me in my cycling career, now I know there was no damage to me and I can deal with a buckled wheel but I?ve had enough now. What can I do to take this forward to the authorities. I want this twat dealt with and all of his kind.. Any advice???

Hi Guys, got a question. I'm thinking of getting the 705. Firstly is it worth it?? Bit of a big out lay for a cpu on a bike. Secondly how does it fit on the bike? My road bike is a wing bar (ITM sword) and my mtb is an over sized sworks. Not sure I would mount this on the mtb bike. Would it work in my pocket? any ideas????

So guys every morning I read about us cyclist moaning about the taxis/cars ect on the road. Here is my problem though. On the way to work this morning (ok it was dark but that?s no excuse) I was at a stop street waiting for my turn to go.. Was turning left when out of no where the guy came flying through on his bicycle. Ok not to sound racist here but was a guy of colour and its not the first time if seen something like this. I had to haul onto brakes and this guy just managed to go past me with a ?ESSH?. No this guy had no lights at all anywhere firstly, secondly he just flew through this stop? Maybe we as cyclist should be looking to get our house in order first before we try take on the rest of the world? Not I know this could might not be able to afford lights but I?m fairly sure he could afford brakes.. My 2c - the forrest and tracks are there for us all.. If somebody wants to go up the ST then so be. I love it.. nothing better, great work out and you are all correct, great training on the tech side.. I'm talking about the crashing.. Not the pram... I agree it was something crazy to do but it happens. Same applies to cars on the roads. Bottom line is **** happens to us all.

I fully aggree wiht what has been said here but also just want to say its part of the game. We crash all the time. Sometimes its our fault sometimes its others. Sammajoor if 2 guys in front of Wayne had touched wheels and gone down would you have blamed them too?? If its the money part that your worried about then maybe stop the sport. Saying that I'm sure the insurance will pay out. Thats why its there in the first place. Any way thats my 2c on the matter. At least he is ok.
