  4. Jackie, My 2 cents worth... 1) I feel you need to look at the cost the cyclist has to pay to attend the event it can work out very costly for a family. Maybe look at something completely different as an awards evening. Put it to the cyclist, what or where it is they would like. 2) I feel that where a pro is getting an award that the sponsors insist that they are there, or at least a representiive of the team. You see year after year they do not bother to turn up. And yes they are heros to the younfg rider. 3) YOU ARE DOING A STERLING JOB....

  7. R.I.P and condolences to the family....
  8. You guys have it all wrong... The target market is perfect, have any of you noticed how quickly cyclists age, due to consistently being exposed to all kinds of weather. A 30 year old regular dedicated cyclist, looks at least 10 years older.. So maybe the marketing dept did not get it all wrong....
  9. After these comments, I would like to see the expression on the reps face when he gets his next commission sheet.
  10. I got the energy drink with my kit, and I haven't tried it yet. Still a small amount of my original to finish.
  11. Me to ....
  12. Club 100 are very jacked up in both road and Mtn biking, they have now joined up with Northern Farms, and have an excellent deal if you are just Mtn biking....
  13. I agree
  14. In defence of CyclingSA. I want to say this, 2 weeks ago a South African license was urgently needed in Belgium, for a SA rider who's Belgium license had not been processed. With the help of Harmony CC and CSA, the license was issued, scanned and emailed , and posted to Belgium within an hour... Full marks to CSA, again thank you...
  15. I also get horrible stomach cramps from Energade, but not from Powerade. The energy drinks in powder form(USN, EVOX etc) are fine no problems
  16. I currently ride a "Scott Reflex 25" (I am a road rider), I also enjoy MTN biking.. However I find my Reflex very heavy. I am aware that dual suspension bikes are generally heavier. My question is, by changing the front shock, can it make a difference to the overall weight of the bike. The shocks on at the moment, are "Toro adusting hydraulic rock" I really like the bike, and I am not to keen to sell it. However I do need and want lighter bike. Can anybody advise me please. Thanks
  17. I have a "Scott Reflex 25" small, I am generally a road rider, but enjoy the MTN bike as well. I find the Reflex extremely heavy, and was wondering if changing the front shock, would make a difference. I have been told that the Tora Rock (lock out) hydrualic, that I have on is very heavy. I enjoy the bike, and would prefer not to have sell it. But would like, and need a lighter bike. Any suggestions anyone. Thanks.
  18. You guys are so funny..
  19. Cajees Princess crossing... As some of you say, if you know what you want, and you know your prices you are OK. Their service dept is shocking really really bad. Their accessory prices can be so out of price range (up) it is laughable. USN gu's around R7.00 at Diskem .. Cajee's princess R14.95 Try getting them to order something not usually in stock..how about 3 months and it still hasn't arrived. Go to a reputable bike shop, there is what you have been waiting for, on their shelf..
  20. A friend of mine has done it for the past 2 years, and is doing it again, this year. He says it is absolutely awesome, The organisation, the back up, the route. Everthing about it is great. He's from Germany.
