Charne' Steyn... comes from a very strong Tri-athlon , Duathlon and Cross country background , has been riding for awhile. Wrote Matric last year and is now cycling full time. The potential has always been there, but school had to come first.

Have you seen the SA Team selected for Worlds View UCI race???? Track riders... for a hilly course, and one asks about selection process

Please can somebody advise me. As a roadie, about 6 months ago I bought a Mtn bike and started casual riding and racing... But honestly I don't find it fun, as I am constantly getting puntures. I don't use tyre liners as I was told they affect the riding performance. Tubeless are expensive and I believe they also punture. At Cradle to Cave I puntured 3 times at one time both back and front wheel at the same time...Now that is JUST NOT FUN... Please advise me... I am riding with Scott tyres which came with my Scott bike.. Plus what tyre pressures should I be using I have been riding at 2 bars.

I hope the recovery is a fast one...........

A really great race did the 35k, quite new to MTNing (a roadie) .... awesome single track, pity about the gate at about 6k's huge bottleneck for the slower riders.. will try the longer one next time..
