If I were you I’d sit on both bikes and get a feel for it. I do enduro riding and own a specialized Enduro and road my friend’s stumpie just a few meters. I simply love the way I feel on it and have been looking for a good deal on a stumpie ever since 😄. I think even if you’re doing minimal enduro riding, the Stumpie is perfect. I looked at the Epic and felt like I was always falling over the bars.

On Saturday I road past a bunch of runners as I was going to Cobra. They were coming from Silvermine and had several dogs with them. As far as I understand, dogs are not allowed up there, especially because of baboons. I'm cycling for 20 years and have only ever encountered a runner on the singletrack once about 10 years back.

If a good deal pops up and you only see it after 10 minutes, it’s probably already sold. Same applies to gumtree and marketplace. Yes it sucks and annoys me as well. If you really want to get the good deals, setup alerts so get there first.

Carbon is not only about weight. To me it handles better for enduro riding. I recently switched to carbon and the difference is notable. I’d rather buy a used carbon than a new aluminum.

Hi there. I need advice on my upgrade. I recently bought a 12 speed upgrade for my 11 speed. I first double checked that the hub doesn't have to change and from what I saw, I was good to go. I thought, 'heck let's try to do this myself'. So I fit the 12 speed GX eagle and everything seem to fit, but when I place my wheel on the bike and tighten it, the cassette doesn't seem to move freely backwards. Forwards it's free though. What am I doing wrong
