  1. Thanks for the advice Big G! I suppose as with everything, not going overboard is the key. I read recently that the hardest day of your training to stick to is your rest day hehe can relate to that cos I'm always thinking i'm 'missing out' on a days training when I don't ride but realise that a day's rest can do way more good than a forced day's riding!
  2. This is quite an interesting topic for me. I cycle to work most days as well and would like to know how you guys incorporate additional workouts and your commuting e.g. if you're riding to work for 4 or 5 days, when do you do intervals and what do you do to recover from the weekend's racing? Oh, I've also found in the past that glutamine works quite well for recovery.
  3. lol that's some good advice to follow! but then I might be tempted to go riding if it's a nice day - what to do??
  4. Hey guys, I came across this article relating to over-training. In the run-up to the Argus it's quite possible that many of us will be at risk. Though I'd share http://www.active.com/triathlon/Articles/How_to_Tell_When_You_re_Over-Reaching_or_Over-Training.htm How do those of you who commute to work by bike daily combat fatigue and over-training?
  5. > Almost rather get hit by his two ton truck than have to speak to him. Trying to understand him would be like being hit by a 2ton truck anyway lol > Ghey? I think the gentlemen meant GAY
  6. I, like many of you, commute by bicycle(scooter sometimes) everyday and have been involved in several incidents as well as the years have gone on but have taken the view that if you're still upright and able to get angry about what someone's done, you're ok! so instead of acting on the anger I just give them a thumbs up n a smile and keep going. Works better for me than shouting at them or breaking their mirror at the next robot - you'll also get to work on time
