  1. Hi guys and girls I recently bought an Avalanche Dust gravel bike for 3 reasons - indoor training, occational off road riding and doing road races with. I am more of a singletrack kind of person, but have a bike sorted for that. Okay, so now my dilema. I want to get a second wheelset with a more road orientated setup. I would just like to swop out wheels and not worry about anything else. So what should I be looking out for? The Dust has a 11-speed setup currently - 11-46T with a 42T chainring. I would prefer staying 1x as it is just easier. Will swopping out the tires alone be okay? But then I will run out of gears on the flats with only a 11T - right? Please assist me here. Dankie.
  2. I am missing my brother's 40th... but the entries opened long before his party was planned...
  3. Saterdag se waterpunt waar die biltong is!
  4. Yes, I bought new pads, rotors and cables. Had them rebled and worked well for about 2 rides. I think there is a leak on the calipers of the XTRs. They are 6 years old though.
  5. Yesterday I bought the only Formula Cura 2 brake set (then) left in the Western Cape. Already fitted myself (a first for me) and will test them out tomorrow. Should be better than my XTRs that do not have any life left.
  6. Thanks guys! I am sure we will enjoy what Banhoek has on offer. I will play around on Trailforks.
  7. Hi there. We are planning a ride at Banhoek trails over the weekend, weather dependent. Having never ridden there, what do you guys suggest we do and where do we start. Don’t mind climbing, Bottelary is my home trails. And we are looking for at least 40/45km. TIA
  8. The draws are done on Wednesday apparently. I’m holding thumbs for anything really, but wouldn’t mind the bike.
  9. Bought this last week!
  10. What a great event. As my first stage race, this was extremely tough. Thank you to the organizers and everyone involved. I had 3 tough days in the saddle but managed to finish all 3 days. Friday - broke my jockey with 5k's to go. They didn't have any spare 12x jockeys and I thought my race was over. Saturday - on a borrowed bike, started cramping from 25k's and "managed" to the finishSunday - again on the borrowed bike. Probably the most fun day until the chain broke. Managed to break it and installed a quicklink, but lost major time. Will definitely be back next year to improve my time.
