  7. Greetings If anyone took part in the 24hour mtb event held at the vlei cycle park in Alberton over december. Myself and my brother captured a few hours of footage and we put this little highlights video together. I thought i would share it with the Hubbers. Also gives those of you who have never ridden there some idea of the routes available. Enjoy
  8. Howdy.. Did anyone on the hub participate in the event held at rietvlei a few weekends back? The reason i am asking is that we covered the event with 3 p2 hd cameras in the hope that we could get the programme aired on miway mtb show, but failing this i may make dvd's available if anyone is interested ... let me know.

  12. I Found a place down the road from my work in Midrand SUMMIT CYCLES. I Had a bad bail 2 days before a big race and bent my jockey/hanger and snapped a cable , and been under pressure at work i knew that i wouldn't be able to do repairs myself in the evenings let alone get spares etc ,and seen as they are right down the road from graft, i asked if they could assist me with the repairs on short notice Friday morning .. anyway the owner said no problem and went out of their way to jump my 96 to the front of fridays list of repairs, and i had my bike at 4pm that day ready for Saturdays race. so big up to a bike shop that i never even knew about , took a chance on and was Pleasantly surprised and Happy with. Big up To SUMMIT CYCLES in Midrand!!

  17. Finally managed to go for a ride this past weekend on my serviced front shock. After holidays and 2 weeks of been ill. Thank you to Corrie,it is really awesome that you are the local agent and i must admit i am extremely happy with the service i received form you especially with the fact that you contacted me . And thank you to epics sports for doing the work and restoring my faith in local suppliers and a great product .. Long live Magura !! ps shock is better than new..
  18. where abouts do these rides go ? are there any contact numbers.
  19. Ditto , the plink plink may be gravel, debris, dust etc collecting in the caliper and then on every rotation you hear it intermittently , maybe the caliper pistons are not releasing all the way back and hence the wobble feel ? Just a theory ... Take front brake off ride without it braking is for sissies anyway , Na kidding i wouldnt mess around with it mate could cease or fail at a critical point . what components ? , bike etc were you riding heavy mud at some point ? I assume a warped disc could have happened if there was a lot of heat build up then a instant cooling down like water or such... happens on road cars dont see why it couldnt happen to a bike disk ?
  20. Myself and Frosty dropped or Magura's off at Epic sports today, for shock assessment (Rather nice bike shop) So we shall see from here..
