  1. all guateng riders must bring there own water.the water here is only for the westerncape cyclist.u guys receive lots of rain down there
  2. to all those out of town guys please bring your own water with we got water restriction here. you will find waterpoints on route dry. NB.the road between kalkbay and fishoek is terrible went pass there on sunday dont think it will be perfect with all that manholes protruding and the uneven surface

  8. i had mine done at sportscience institue on a 20km time trail ian rodger push me to 182 and he said my max is much higher at the age of 59 u cant use 220 min age some people got 220 +24 and some 220minus 24 so u need to check it to know your max to workout your training % zones

  10. heard through the grapevines yesterday that we gonna have a detour this year due to roadworks between kalkbay and fishoek pass there on sunday dont look like it will be ready in time.so its oukaapseweg then blackhill left into fishoek
  11. my legs are toasted from athlone to bottlarey road turn left at the end and then via durbanville .wind was pushing heavy and eina those rolling hills bringing speed down sometimes to 12km but after a long layoff it was a good 70km workout
  12. i use 8teaspoons brown sugar and 2 teaspoon salt in 1 litre water eat dates and peanut butter sandwitch on route and bye bye cramps use to get them after 60km even after a race
  13. i use to cramp alot due to excessive sweating.i start using a brown sugar and salt mix in my bottle no other liquids just dates and bannanas bye cramps use to start from 60km rode a good argus with no cramps on this.
