I don't have a chinese carbon frame, but my insurance has never asked me for a frame serial number. I insured it as a mountain bike, specified my parts and worth, and pay a premium per month

I see there is an update on the app for the first time in like two months. Anybody noticing anything different?

It's a hit and miss at this stage. Last week mine worked and from Saturday it went haywire. It's picking up only some of my journeys, and states "unable to calculate your daily score at this time" Going to unable this stupid safe dayz until it it sorted out. My battery life is a huge problem and it's not even working.

Luckily I'm on Platinum for the whole of this year and can easily achieve my premium discounts with the active days. But if they are as useless as they are now coming the end of this year, I will start to look at other options

I ride with my phone when I train, and after 5 rides it did not register my ride. Maybe you need to ride over a certain speed before it starts to activate? Edit : or it did not work because I ride 90% on mtb trails.

Here lies the power draining issue. They need to somehow develop the app to put the GPS to sleep mode and only activate when you drive. I may be imagining things, but I swear my battery life had improved somewhat since yesterday

Just want to make 100% sure. If I started 2018 on Private, then I will stay on private for the whole of 2018 and have to get to 1500 points to stay on private for 2019?

I activated it yesterday and earned a safe day quite easily. The app basically detects when you drive and how you drive. It gives a % out of 100 on how you accelerate, decelerate, keeping within speed limits, time of day that you drive and a couple of other things. If you get a combined percentage of 60% or higher for the days driving, you get a safe day. Edit: I have a Samsung S8+ and my battery usage is high with this app. It uses 1% battery per hour at the moment. That's 24% per day

I started today to try and understand the new system. To say I'm lost is an understatement. Last year they had a guide on how much point you get for each activity in each category, and what the maximum points are per category. I dont see that anywhere?
