  1. Golden rule - You are what you eat!! Read the labels Drink water Eat 5 small meals per day Check your fat and dairy intake. Good luck
  2. Be assured you will love Mtb'ing. Buy yourself a decent bike from the beginning and you'll enjoy every bit of it. Buying and selling a cheaper bike initially will workout much more than buying a lighter weight bike with better specs from the outset.
  3. Lucky you!! Great bargain
  4. This maritime business sucks - when can I expect my ship to come in?

    Garmin 705

Thanks guys I really appreciate your input.
  6. Look at it as a bit of a duathlon, walking and riding
  7. No luckily enough I haven't seen the rhino, though my time might have been much better if I did see it!! I can picture myself riding the mine dump with a rhino struggling to catch me.
  8. My friend and I both have Garmin 705's With the Diamond Rush race on Saturday we measured similar distances, I had 40.11km anh he 40.2km but on the elevation he measured 666m and I measured 737m. That is a huge difference and I would like to know if anybody has an explanation or have you had a similar experience before. Yes, I have already given it some thought that he walked around the mine dump

  11. I just saw an eland crossing about 10m in front of me, the sound of the giraffe must have been scary
  12. It was one of the more demanding races, lots of injuries and breakdowns. Thoroughly enjoyed it
  13. Now that is the reason why your heart rate runs so high during training it is because of all the good news and money you are making.
  14. I have mine now for 3 months, excellent piece of equipment. Very user friendly, until now it stood up to all the bumps and knocks of MTB. We were exploring new training routes on Saturday and it was so great to constantly see where you are going. I have only heard of broken mounting brackets but haven't had that problem yet. The virtual training partner comes in very handy. Make sure you take the full package, heart rate monitor and cadence. Good luck and enjoy.
  15. This is exactly why I admire South Africans, when the going gets tough we get innovative. Great business idea and the best of luck.
  16. excellent info - thanks
  17. Bigblade, directions received from Jurgen, owner of Boschkop MTB our gps co-ordinates are S25*46.564' E028*24.879' if you come from Lynnwood rd, its 5km past Hans Strydom, turn left onto the Boschkop rd, then after 2km left onto Mooiplaats rd (gravel road) go on for 4.3km. you have to cross the Pienaars river, go up the hill and KEEP LEFT. Turn right at the 2nd farm road and continue for 500m, we're on the left. Look out for the yellow signs.
  18. Bigblade, Boschkop park is actually Boschkop MTB. It is on the Boschkop smallholdings, east of Hans Strydom street - more than 15km great single track.
