  1. Not good news. I am planning a couple of rides there next week
  2. I think Brandon is riding a sponsored Momsen 29er
  3. Dirtracker, sorry I missed your message. We ended doing 145km's, nice quiet route. I am away until after new year but we'll arrange another trip early next year.
  4. We are doing a 130km ride on Saturday, easy pace. Starting from cnr Hans Strydom and Lynnwood road. If anyone is interested pm me your details and I'll be in touch.
  5. We've never encountered any safety issues but never be complacent. PM me your number and I'll call you with the details
  6. Hi Squier, You can do the railway line road to the viaduct or even further past Bapsfontein or another route we sometimes do past the Diamond Hill tollgate cross the Bronkhorstspruit road and then another loop east of it, one option is just over a 100km's and the other about 125km's To add a bit of excitement you can do 2 of the 3 bike parks in the area for some single track before you get on to the district roads. Have fun and enjoy
  7. Really sad news, RIP fellow cyclist
  8. It was great untill all the rain and I am sure it will soon get better again. Roughly about 12km's of single track, last year it formed part of the Nissan Hazeldean event and I am sure it will again feature this year. In general until now it has been a safe area to ride. I often ride on my own and so does a lot of others.
  9. Sorry to hear about your boet, glad he is ok. If you carry a gun and get ambushed at 30km/h I doubt you'll have the opportunity to use it, you most likely will get shot with your own gun. My daughter is a very keen mountain biker but hell how and where do I let het enjoy her sport. We live in a sick and corrupt society!!!
  10. He looks better on his bike
  11.
  12. I don't think it is about the size of the bike but more importantly the power in the legs. The last stage of the Epic is proof of that
  13. Best of luck and a speedy recovery
  14. +1
  15. Pity they still look so good. Well done for catching them
  16. Stp1, change your bib and have a proper set-up done, I am same weight and height and regularly do a 6-7 hour ride with no problem and no cream.
  17. Did they service your brakes 3 weeks ago? Bummer if they did.
  18. It would be great if people do live up to their responsibilities, how many actually do - very few I think. Just compare their finishing time (what they tell you) with the official results, even there they are "cheating" by lying to you. Courses are always well marked, I can never understand how 99% of the riders manages to stay on course and only a few were so unfortunate that they didn't see the markers - in my opinion that was exactly what they wanted - a short cut.
  19. Is that because they are winning? A very professional team and set-up
  20. Supersport use their new cameras exclusively for rugby soccer and cricket - others must rely on old paraffin models
  21. Sad news. RIP mate!!!
