  7. i had to replace the 2 main bearings on the hub . it has xd driver assembled it feels fine, but when tightened in bike the weel turns heavily i have assembled it without the free body and tightened it .then it spins fine. my assumption is the free hub body an main bode pressress together and creatrs friction . is there a missing spacer or something else im missing

  9. I agree with @droo , boaring the adapters is quick and least dodgy way to go. Or make new 15mm adapters. dont mess with the fork
  10. Have a Look at the Cotic Solaris max. super fun steel https://www.cotic.co.uk/product/solarisMAX1#gallery
  11. I agree, if the seller does not accommodate your request to inspect the bike, walk away and look for a alternative. rather wait for a while till something you want comes along and you are satisfied with the offering, pickings are slim and expensive right now, but something should pop up along the way
  12. Jonkers family pass for 4pl is now R1300. I can see that for current wannabee members its attractive, it opens a lot more riding venues for the same price as the combined wannabee and helderberg permit cost.
  13. Comes down to the quality and type of trails they produce, wanabees trails are mainly dirt roads through farms and the trail fund have dumbed down trails in Ededn and surrounds, have men sweeping the forest floor with brooms and burming every turn.
  14. I prefer not to have my money go to STB trail fund or wannabees. I`l be sticking to the jonker famaly pass and helderbeg. I like the idea of supporting the trails i use and enjoy

couple ow weeks ago on R44 to Stellenbosch there was a bunch in the yellow line, which is fine, but their safety car was blocking the slow lane @30 forcing all traffic into the fast lane. annoying motorists wont help the cycle safety cause
  24. You cant judge a bike by the HA and SA alone, all the number add add to make a bike that works well or does not. with a slacker HA typically the reach will also be longer as well as the chain stay for modern geometry - and its a balancing act in getting the ratios correct. the only way to tell if a bike is right for you is to test drive it
