Erik definetely in very good form from training every day with Sauser. Also remember he finished 3rd last year in th Atta only 6min behind Sauser. He just loves this race!

So Naas, ons kan sommer hier adverteer vir ons training ride die 16 December. Wie is in? Ons wil meeste van die lang roete try ry saam met Naas. Ons sal Maandag oggend 16 Dec so 06:30 vertrek vanaf die Caltex in Struisbaai. Plus minus 3 ure ride. Kontak vir Naas, nader an die tyd. Sy nommer is bo aan. Sien julle daar!! Marthinus

Did they not say that the day crit is an hour earlier on the 24th. Vets at 12:00 and Elites at 13:00? Is this still the case?

Hello Naas, Ek hoop jy het lkker gery Saterdag, want ek en nog 2 ander ouens was mos op die kort roete gesit duer die marshalls. Ons het 2de, 3de en 4de gele op daai stadium. Dit was op die grondpad onder, waar die 30km links gan en 60km reguit an. Daar staan toe 2 marshalls en wys baie duidelik vir ons, gan links hier. Toe doen ons daai hele loop en kom weer op die grondpad uit. Dis toe wat ons agter kom ons was verkeerd. Toe is ons heel ager en ry mar weer terug na die einde toe. Ons het presies 30km gery, so dit was 100% die kort roete. Ek blameer glad nie julle arrows nie, want dit was orals baie duidelik, mar as daar n marshall in die pad staan en wys links, is mens mos maar geneig om eerder vir die marshall te kyk as te soek vir die arrow. Ek vra toe vir die Marshall, hoekom het julle ons hier laat afdraai, hy se toe hy weet van niks en hulle is daar vir die hardloop en nie die mtb nie. Elkgeval, dit was amper n baie lekr race en ek sal definitief weer volgende jaar terug wees. My enigste raad vir julle as organiseerders is, dat die die hardloop en mtb glad nie op dieselfde roete gehou word nie. Dit was die enigste rede hoekom ons verkeerd gery het. Sien jou weer Naas, Well done elkgeval op n goeie race. Ek sal almal anraai om dit te kom ry volgende jaar. Cheers

Hi there fellow hubbers. I am leaving from Cape Town on the Friday at about 11:00 (plus minus) Coming back on Saturday after the race. I am drivng a double cab and its only me, so if anyone needs a lift and can contribute for diesel, let me know. Unfortunately I can not arrange accomodation.

So for all you shortys who ride small bikes, maybe 650b is better for you.

Dont worry man, there is a bike wash at the end! LAst year my bike was washed before I could even get my breath back, cant remember paying either, could be R50. Over the finish line and straight toward the tennis courts! Enjoy!!!!
