  1. They have adjusted the ladies as well!
  2. We also only entered BECAUSE of the distance - there is no point driving all the way there for a normal 109km road race for the vet men - this is SA Champs! We are with you regarding a lawsuit - this is ridiculous!
  3. My husband has the Giant Revolt and loves it (he even raced the Melrose Arch Crit on it , so very stiff and responsive) I have the Titan Switch and it is my new favourite bike - basically using it as a second road bike at the moment
  4. Best place to watch is definitely past the union buildings and towards the feed zone! Lots of people there, it was chaos to try feed riders because there were too many groups on the route at the same time! But racing was very aggressive and great to watch!
  5. Really well organised event as always! New route was great! Marshalls were great! Only one comment, limiting the drinks at the finish was not a welcome end. It appeared that there was not enough coke, was a hot day and a quarter cup of coke was just not enough.
  6. Although there was a lot of complaining about the start times not being up etc. I want to thank the organizers for a much better event than in past years. The full road closure on the TT was fantastic. The little guys had full road closure on their races which made parents feel a lot safer letting their children compete Not once did I feel unsafe on the road race and the final 10km road closure was also great. Lots of food stalls were arranged, and they tried to have prize giving as quickly as possible after the event I think well done to the organizers, we don't all know what goes on behind the scenes
  7. Thanks Spinnekop! Was an amazing team effort! I think I left a part of my lungs on the road somewhere, and at about 20km from the end was in some serious pain, and was told to keep quiet and pedal
  8. I think Spinnekop and the rest of the guys on our team need special medals for getting us ladies through!
  9. I had the same problem and changed tyres to conti 4 season 25c and it clears the cable well. The conti 4000s dont fit though
  10. All this discussion and the first stage of Panorama was won by two guys on single speeds
  11. Sorry, more clarity, you guys were a few 100metres in front of the main group, we went passed both so fast, the main group probably did use the tandems to make contact, but it happened so quickly I don't think the comm had a chance to get between both groups. We didn't make contact with the first break of VC
  12. The tandems passed the VC group at about 60km, at that stage there were about 10 tandems still together, so we could pass the VC group easily and we stayed away. The tandem comm was very good with stopping other ridings from slipping the tandem group. All-in-all the tandem race was awesome!
