Meant to post this a while ago. Read it over the new year. Hilarious, but tragic too. Looks at the some of the issues that old people face, and confronts stuff like euthanasia. The main character starts a group called the Old But Not Dead Club that plans anarchic outings. Worthy read.
When I was last there, Richard Bay airport was like a double garage. It was funny landing at the old Durbs airport on the far apron. A whole accordion bus came all the way over to fetch me. Then in the empty baggage claim section the carousel switched on just for my surfboard to come through.
