  9. Does anyone know if these shadow plus derailleurs would work with rotor rings? Was wondering if the constantly changing chairing profile and the clutch in the derailleur would play nicely?
  10. If I remember correctly, rotor makes a bsa bottom bracket that allows you to run a 30mm crank
  11. Open A bunch is a lot easier than VA. There are a lot more strong guys in VA taking turns at dishing out the pain. If the idea is to just sit and get pulled along to a fast time, then it is not too difficult on the flatter races. If the Idea is to get involved in the racing, then it is a whole other level As an example, In the VA bunch you can try your luck at taking on Jacques Fullard or James Louter in a sprint finish
  12. are you saying there will be no results from sunday for the seeding system? I was placed in the D group because of no previous races. Had to battle all the way through the course trying to find places to pass slower riders. eventually ended the race between a whole lot of A seeded riders. Will this not count towards my seeding for the next race?
  13. Even if the marshalls were still there, it might not have helped. I was leading the VA race with a healthy gap. The MArshall at this last intersection, was standing in the middle of the intersection with his flag in the air. I took it that I had to go straight, as he was blocking the road to the right. Boy was I surprised (at first surprised then f ing mad!) when the commissaire started hooting in her car. I looked back only to realise that I had been sent the wrong way! by the time I was able to stop my bike on that downhill, turn around and ride back up the intersection, I had lost my 300m gap to the chasing bunch. Lost a certain win to some incompetent marshalling. Commissaire apologised, but said there was nothing she could do for me other than write it up in her report. You might say I should know the route, but no matter how much I had studied that map, I would no thave known where I was as these roads are unfamiliar to me. Even had I known the road, the fact that the marshall was standing in the way waving me straight would have still sent me the wrong way. Some of the guys at the head of the chasing bunch were sent the wrong way at the intersection before this last one. oh well! cést la vie... who knows maybe someday, someone else will be sent the wrong way, and I might score a win
