  1. I reckon if the Merrell guys were worth their salt they would have thought about putting their lights on much earlier like the top 5 teams did do in any case....planning is everything when on the go and those front teams had lights on from 2, as they expected traffic and stuck cars. pretty basic to give that one thought.
  2. pretty interesting topic, but check their winnings 1st. conrad has won 500k (usd) in the last 2 years....from reliable source. burry is also able to buy buildings and houses so must be earning a truck load....i reckon the road rider guys are off the pace. minnaar is also loaded and they all ask appearance fee's too. i hazard a guess that all guys, bar the roadies are all over a bar...without a doubt. my take on it.
  3. I reckon its fine. Sometimes dudes get a little sarcastic...always as they know their names are hidden...perhaps they should change to include your actual names and then it all gets cleaned up. There is a plan. I think the Hub is a cool place to check what opinions of folks are on products etc but also agree that forums are debates and guys and girls will be shirty with each other. I guess it's a respect thing too. Maybe a reminder to people when they have not been on the Hub for a week orr so is also a good idea....that way you get your requests to a query answered by guys who dont bother responding. I mailed a guy(or a girl, not sure) 2 weeks ago asking for something and have not heard a thing since...why bother placing something for sale then. I must say...the guy offering a free fridge is great. But maybe a little too far for a cycling website. Maybe he could have said "buy a tube for 1 Rand and get a fridge for free" Just an idea.
  4. howzit! 29ers are king. i am 100 kilo's and have the most incredible experience on these things. chalk and cheese and if you can roll big gears....the best decision you will make. simple really to build....tubeless and bang stans in, avid ultimate group...lots on here to buy second hand and depends on wheels hub size, but if you have a c dale its a 20mm through axle, as hard as nails. american classic wheels are good for light weights guys at 85 but not for bigger fella's. mavic x max wheels are cool and power stuff. fixik sadle and get a good crank....thats the trick. cyclelab at northgate have actually got a top top fsa crank for sale for 2900, normally 12k for the full carbon. there is a good deal. rear tyres tend to wear quickly, but hey...when its so much fun to ride who gives a hoot about the 1 tyre you have to replace every 3 months. i ride 300 to 400 a week and they bullet proof. have fun...they great. ciao.
