People, some of the "holes" are not just cracks.....if one had to fall into one of these you will never be seen alive again. They are really bad. Glad I am not on a tandem going down there We were going to do the race but have decide not to go anymore. Will not break limbs and bones because the organiser couldn't try and put together a new route. Good luck for all, Fiona should maybe have sold the entries with an emergency package ;-)

ok so attended the panorama training camp this weekend and feel a little worried at the moment about the route. The road conditions looked very very bad. The stretch on Day1 between komatipoort and sabie is almost unridable as the road in some places look like mole holes. I would like to know if Fiona and her gang is actually going to let the race go through these areas. There will be a lot of casualties if they dont do something about this. Day 2 is going to be fast as it will be on the new airport road....very nice!

well with 700 in a bunch one would expect all the carnage on the road

how is this for a service on my fork, instead of sending it to the correct guys the shop decided to put normal workshop oil in my mtb fork and grease the rings with some shate standing around in the shop. It wil now cost me R1500 to get it flushed in order for the correct oil to be replaced...mechanic my ass

dont know what the organisers were thinking...bunches were 600/700 big...with a 3 min split between....that is a recipe for chaos

how is this for a service....sent my fork in at a certain bikeshop here in randburg as it was leaking oil... last week took my bike back to another shop as I am gatvol for the *** sercive from these guys. yesterday the new shop phones me just to tell me that the previous shop who serviced my bike had inserted the wrong oil and grease on my fork. This will now cost a R1000 to get repaired for a second time in a few months. Also asked them to replace worn bearings, after 2 months bearings have to be replaced again...come on...thats pathetic..... think this bike shop's mechanics need a basic course on MECHANICS
