Hey I lost mt Hyandai keys on the spruit this morning. I am hoping someone has found them. Just the key with a wire tag.

I get my bike serviced at Cyclelab Littlefalls. Great staff and a really great workshop.

I have done the last 3 years in a row of the 3 day event. Great trails and a great atmosphere.

I would go with the Scott. Better looking and a really nice ride.

Around the corner from Vida is a place called The Odd Cafe. Has really good food, nice coffee and is never busy. Must have the Leaning Tower of Odd. french toast with a difference.

When i started road riding with MCC. You were seriously shat on if you did not follow the rules. We always waited for the last rider to catch up, never left anyone behind. Nowadays it seems it is every one for themselves. That is why i stopped riding on the road. I only ride with mates and family as cycling should be about having fun not who is the fastest rider.

These rude cyclists on the spruit should be ashamed of yourselves. Swearing at my 12 year old and forcing an 8 year old off the path. I greeted these 2 riders at the top of the hill and they ignored me. This goes out to the women in the swazi frontier cycling shirt. You are lucky i was not around when this happened.

So my riding buddies have been sent a link to trailflow in modderfontein. Anyone done this ride, any good and distances you can ride? Cheers Graham

Hi Everyone So we are doing a ride this coming Sunday. Start time is 7:00 and we will meet by the new Hogshead pub in Radiokop. We plan to ride to the Riumsig area then on to Kingskloof then home again. We will stop somewhere to have a coffee break. Nice slow pace, base miles needed now. If you are keen let me know. Hey Guys We did not do the ride, did not hear the alarm go off. We did a ride to Ruimsig on Saturday morning which was mostly on the tar. We did the Spruit ride from Fratelli's to Paulshof then back to Vida on Sunday morning. All of our mates backed out of the ride and with only 2 of us riding decided to be careful. We are keen to do the full ride again soon. Maybe this coming weekend.

Hi All So with the Berg and Bush a mere 10 weeks away, we have decided that it is time to get some training in. This is going to be a slowish ride. We are not race snakes at all. Overweight and unfit. This is going to be a MTB ride. We are all chatty and like to enjoy the ride, NOT DIE going like hell. We are riding Sunday at 07:00 start. We are going to ride from Radiokop to Ruimsig then do a bit of a route finding mission to get to Lanseria area. We can see from the air that there are hundreds of routes around there. Does anyone know of routes out that way? If anyone is keen to join us you are welcome. Cheers Graham

Hi I tested the Trance and it was a great bike. I ride a Commencal Meta which is awesome through the twisty bits, but not a great climber ( or my legs are not ). One friend rides a Gt, which he raves about Another friend rides a Specialized which he loves. Next friend rides a Cube and another friend rides a Silverback. It comes down to personal preference. I suggest setting a budget and go to your local shop and ask to test ride.

I did the very first 3 day event. We were unfit and not organised at all. We finished though. Had a blast. Food was great. We have entered the Great Trek this year. Told it is more relaxed. See how it goes

Has anyone purchased goods from Chain Reaction and then opted for the normal mail route ? I was a numb nuts not to get it delivered, but too late now. How long should it take to get delivered here. I have been waiting about 5 weeks now, is this normal ? Called the post office, they can not help me as i do not have a tracking number or anything.

I think you pay R 650 for a major service.

Where did you buy the glow in the dark grips?

Fantastic job, all three bikes came back spotless. Everything works 100%. I have had issues before with BIG name shops, where i have had to take my bike back three times because certain things did not work. Spokes came loose after one ride after a total wheel rebuild. Gears slipping. Another good shop is Cyclefusion, in the centre where Mozambique restaurant is. Kevin is a stand up guy. I want to learn to service myself. I want to learn fork servicing

Hi All I have just had 3 mountain bikes serviced at Eagle Canyon Cycles. They did a fantastic job. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Can recommend them. Have a good one.

Hi How hard is it to service your own Rockshox reba? I do not trust any shops to do it properly, my friend had his done and was a disaster. Graham

So we decided to go to Krugersdorp Nature Reserve last sunday to see what it was all about. The gates open at 8:00am. The entrance is R30 per person. You receive a map which shows you all the roads and all the trails. The start of the ride was very tough. We had taken the kids with us so they struggled a little. The route was very rocky, but we had a blast. Great tough riding. Good trails. We then had breakfast at the restaurant at the parking. We had a good breakfast. Turned out to be a great morning out in the open air enjoying the riding, the animals and the company of friends and family. We will be back.

Hi I have just converted to tubeless on my MTB. What pressure would you recommend in my tyres? I weigh 90kg. Thanks G

Hi I have a very bad knee and have decided to get a full knee replacement done in Jan 2011. I was wondering if anyone had a had this done, how is the knee holding up? I really would like to ride my mountain bike after the operation. I would like to be strong on my bike again, is this possible? Thanks Grim
