  1. You guys can have the wheels. I entered in week four and Haggis PM'd me. Im the winner of the trip to beutifull Paris. Seriously I also enetered a couple of times in week 4 and noone even bothered to post the results. Not good PR for Equinox.
  2. Hahaha....Guys I didn't race today. Read my first post it's only on the 8th of September. Worked a 12 hour night shift though so it kinda feels like I have been racing.
  3. lol....I remember when I was still running and entered my first marathon. I was such a newb and started of to fast. At the 32km mark I hit the WALL and from there on it was pure hell. I did finish the race though and learnt some important lessons. Thanks for the advice so far and @Joss this being PE chances are the wind will blow the whole day.
  4. Thanks Foe some very good tips Im just looking to survive it not sure about what time though :-) Not sure what time I'll do ,but I have been training for the last 4months doing about 40km on a daily basis with a rest day here and there so Im hoping to finish. I actually wanted to do a race with not more than 60km ,but thought what the heck I might as well just do this race. The other options for this race is to short for me ie 10km, 30km. I wish they had a 60km option though.
  5. Im planning to do my first official race on the 8th of September. The Makro-Fujitsu-Siemens Cycle race in PE to be excact. As this is my first race I am a bit clueless as to what to expect and what I should take with me. I do not belong to a cycling club and don't pay any license fees so can I just pay my R100 entrace fee and race? I am planning to do the 100km race and was wondering what I need to take with me on the road ie puncture repair kit, food wise ect. Any tips from fellow hubbers will be apreciated.
  6. Wanner word die wenner vir die TDF trip 2008 aangekondig?
  7. Ja ek wil ook graag weet.
  8. wow gongrats word
  9. Hope it's Rasmussen or Contador and not Soler
  10. At least dopers ar being caught and we don't hear about it 10 years down the line. I'm convinced that there are dopers that are getting away with it' date=' but the controls and system is getting harder to beat. Nobody is tollerating doping anymore. It's a very good sign that teams sack their team members before they can be caught out by ASO or UCI (or anybody). [/quote'] True I guess I'm just disappointed. Only started cycling this year and watching the TDF gives me motivation to get on my bike every morning and cycling for an hour. Thought if these guys are crazy enough to pedal for 200km every day the least I can do is get on my bike and do 30km. Anyways they still had to train alot to compete in the TDF doping or not.
  11. Haha the first year I watch the TDF and every one is doping. Get all excited watching the dual between Contador and Rasmussen and it's all a joke. Wonder if there will be a TDF next year.
  12. Geluk man wat gaan jy met jou ou wiele doen?
  13. It's raining in PE and Im on rest days so staying in bed the whole day with my seksah laptop :-) I love that advert on Supersport where the guy gets up in the morning all excited to go cycling and once he got his full kit on just before he goes out by the door it starts raining. He turns back and changes his dark sunglass lenses for clear ones and goes out riding in the rain with a smile on his face.
