  1. Savlon for initial cleaning, followed by either Betadine anitseptic salve, or Mercurochrome(FOR THE WIN!) Depending on weather the wound should be allowed to stay "wet" for a while or dry up - Mercurochrome for drying.
  2. You won't be able to rent a bike through the week, not at groenkloof anyway. And wow, I feel quite snobish now but I've ridden one of those bike a while back and let me just say, get your own and you'll love groenkloof even more
  3. FARADAY PORTEUR BIKE http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/faradaybikes/faraday-porteur/widget/video.html http://uncrate.com/p/2012/07/faraday-porteur-bike.jpg {hmm, i seem to be linking allot of kickstarter stuff lately...}
  4. What bothers me about hanging the bike by its RIMS is that with repeating mounting it'll start making marks on my black RIMS, don't like this much...

  8. Just curios about the vendetta i guess
  9. I like those horizontal wood setups very much, but how and where to get a piece of wood like that...
  10. Ah now I see what you mean, thanks. It's an cool idea, but it'll take up too much space in my place, so i'll be looking at something a little more horizontal and closer to the wall. Those wooden designs look sweet, and I like working with wood...
  11. Err, I'm blaming the time of night... But I'm not sure what you mean, draw me a picture please? ;-) Is it something like this: http://cdn.freshome.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/bikes-as-decor-Freshome04.jpg But with the bike hanging from the seat/seat post? This also looks cool: http://cdn.freshome.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/bikes-as-decor-Freshome10.jpg
  12. I can't link fotos from my phone, but here is a link to what got me thinking: http://gizmodo.com/5...ash-your-wheels http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/17szz7c20hyrxpng/medium.png
  13. This probably isn't much to do with technical, but I've seen a few creative ways of storing a bicycle indoors and my hands are itching to build something. So if you've got a cool/creative way of keeping your bike out of the way in the house, post a pic or description here please?
  14. I wonder if zombies freeze when you shine a sharp light at them like I've heard antelope do at night?
  15. I dont want to rant, but I am very unhappy about the service I just got from a shop in Pretoria. It's mostly because of the bill, R1000 for a major service including a bb replacement and two brake pads. But also because I specifically asked them to call me before replacing anything and because they stuck their stoopid sticker on my frame. How does that work? Your not suppose to receive money for having other people support your marketing...? Should I go make me a concrete milkshake or is this bull? And yes I know I should start servicing the bike myself...
  16. Yeah this pisses me off, just thinking back to all the kids and woman I've seen driving solo there and how dangerous it is makes my blood boil. I say they should get those fences electrified.
  17. You moved, the nest outside...?

  19. I'll +1 for the Minion DHF, they don't come tubeless but it performs on an entirely new level ("next level @#$%!") Even if your skeptical, i recommend you experiment. Meh for tubeless too, you should think outside your box ;-)
  20. I recon, people who buy continental are like people who buy iphone they are suckered into marketing and high prices. Maxxis for for the win.
  21. Why do you say so
  22. INSANE! I wish i knew what he was shouting.
  23. +1 for momentum. And in keeping a straight line over the big bumps without losing momentum, you have to try and absorb them, so it helps not having too stiffly pumped wheels but you dont want to bend the RIM either, so get a balance. And in going up-hill, commitment is no joke either, determined concentration is probably the hardest part because you have to keep speed up and choose the right lines, some rocks you just cannot get over...
  24. Damn, atleast he kept his feet on the pedals.
