  18. Thanks everyone for coming, the even was fun, the next one promises to be even better. We have a good age range, from kids on BMXes to older dudes like me, all kinds of bikes, and everyone had fun. I will be posting on the next one a few days before the event, keep your eyes peeled. Join us, you will see your city as you never have before, and you will meet friendly, positive people who are there to have FUN!!
  19. Seriously, LeTurbo is the man!! How do you, a Capetonian, get it; and so many Joburgers don't?
  20. The distance is probably less than 10kms, and the pace will be relaxed. Rest assured we WILL NOT let anyone be dropped, left behind or get lost. It is going to be a fun ride, and the point is to stay in a group.
  21. Oh I knew we would get those comments. There's really no point in arguing with people who are ignorant of their own city. I have commuted through town and I ride through town in the daytime and at night. It's not safe, just like riding a bicycle on the road anywhere in SA isn't. But it is fun, especially in a group at night when the streets are quieter. A lot of fun. I won't lie though, it will be COLD tomorrow night
  22. just over 20 when i last checked. i know a few more people are coming, not sure how many of the FB confirmations will turn up.
  23. There were a few hubbers interested when i first posted about it a month and a half ago... I know a couple of hubbers that are attending, great to hear you are coming!
  24. Starts at the parking lot at the Market Theatre 18h45-19h00, group ride through town, relaxed pace, any bikes welcome, stop for refreshments at Arts on Main precinct halfway, we expect to be done riding by 21h30-22h00. This ride is going to become a regular monthly event. The organisers are open to route suggestions or any other suggestions. What important is to get as many people as possible and this can be the start of something great in Joburg. The facebook event page is http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=144798665591767
  25. Agreed that we need to be visible and acknowledged, and we must try and incorporate major roads to achieve that. We have time, so keep suggestions coming.
