  1. Hi he has contacted me today to say he Wil refund me I did end up emailing the shop which is not really in my nature to fight but was also not willing letting it go.Have not received my refund yet as he asked for a few days which I will give him and if not I'll follow your lead
  2. @droothank you for the laugh I needed that
  3. Cape cycle systems does not sell rods my point is if I have to strip a sealhead from a kit I could have bought new if the seller was honest that's exactly what I would have done
  4. How would you guys go about this I bought a second hand charger damper as I wanted it for loan units if I have warrantys that needs to be sent away. I bought one on bike hub stating that it was fully serviced that's why I considered it upon arrival I could hear air in the damper and also that the sealhead was not replaced as I should be when serviced. Apart from this the damper rod has markings on which makes it useless. The seller blocked me when I confronted him he works at a very popular bike shop in Capetown where the damper was collected at. How should I go about this as it's frustrating throwing R1500 down the drain I know it's not new and did not expect that but at least a functional one that I can use for loan unit
  5. Shockingly good bicycle service center can service your REVERB. We specialize in suspension work
  6. HI Gavin I can assure you that rock shox Will sort you out the problem with that fork is that those bushes are very small in length causing alot off play they do wear faster than a higher model. If I was you I would wait for the warranty and ask if they can upgrade you to a sid or a Reba and pay in a diffence. Cape cycles will definitely assist in this matter and you will be better off in the long run I know it's more money but for years to come you will be happy with a slightly higher spec fork
  7. This is exactly my point they won't last without new glide rings it will eventaully fail. Not a sr suntour fan at all.Any other shock Dt swiss, fox,x fushion, rock shox all of these aircan kits comes with new glide rings
  8. Just my 2 cent on rear suspension services with glide rings(wear band)
  9. Unless he gets a full kit that shock will fail eventually as the glide rings will wear out and cause damage to the damper body and aircan itself if that has not already happened causing air loss
  10. Best would be is to buy a fox or rock shox in similar length you will have to measure or bring it in and I can do the measurements for you and will be able to assist you to get a replacement
  11. The other problem you will have forgot about the dimensions of that shock, stroke, lengh and mounting points any suspension you will get new or second hand will have moving parts which would still require services and will most likely cost you the same as your current one to service. Also riding suspension on lockout all the time is also not good for the suspension as it still has slight movement and can wear out parts pre maturely.Suspensions is expensive to maintain if you stick to intervals like most rock shox needs 50hour services and the major service every 200hours or annually which ever comes first.Just be careful not spending twice as every suspension has recommended servicing hours
  12. @matthewproctor it depends which model reverb and how many hours it has been in use and if it will need new keys the rough service cost on them is about R2000. 0714398832
  13. @Martin PJthe other question have you done over 200hours without service and do you ride on your lockout alot as that could also lead to premature wear.
  14. I am an authorized fox and lefty dealer I can also do warrantys from my side for these products
