  1. What about the trails at HERO Adventure Park at Heia Safari or Northern Farm? Or Klipriviersberg if you want to go to the South of Jhb.
  2. We supply organic MCT oil 500ml for R110. Pm me your email address and I'll send you more details.
  3. Im following the LCHF lifestyle (not a diet) from the beginning of July. I have lost about 6 kgs and a couple of cms as well. On Saturday I did the 25km Zero2Hero MTB race at Heia. For breakfast I only had the fat shake as in the book and took only water in my Camelbak for the ride. All went well but after 16kms my upper leg muscles started cramping. Especially when I straighten my legs. I tried to rub it off and to just carry on pedalling. I decided to take the energy drinks at the next water tables and that seemed to helped. What do you guys take to prevent cramps? I've heard a chelated magnesium supplement might prevent cramps?
  4. Hi, I dont know if Im allowed to post it here but I have 5 x 1 litre tubs of Crede Organic Virgin Coconut Oil that I sell for R140 a tub. Im in Jhb and can arrange delivery in the area. Anyone interested? PM me.
  5. Hi all, so my wife and I started with LCHF and a personal trainer this morning at 5am at the gym. Must say it was hard. My wife also got weak and felt dizzy (duiselig). Any recommendations as to what to eat to prevent that before going to the gym? PT said a banana before workout but that is high carbs! Also are there any supplements we should take perhaps something like a low-carb whey protein powder post workout?
  6. Attached some stats to show progress from 13 Jan to 4 Feb. Note I have started with lchf on the 2nd of January at a weight of 111.9kg. Unfortunately I didnt take a measurement when I started. These stats are from the device at Virgin active using the BIA (bioelectrical impedance analysis) method.
  7. So what do you think of this dairy free, sugar free, low gi, no gluten, diabetes friendly, no carbs chocolate bar. I see the main ingredient is Maltitol and I haven't read such good things about sugar alcohols. But is it OK to have this rather than real chocolate if you have a craving and obviously this will only be once in a while as well and take into account it cost about R13 for a 50g bar. Or are you aware of other better alternatives if you feel like something sweet?
  8. Interesting section in Prof Tim Noakes new book The Real Meal Revolution about Simon Gear who lost 15kgs and bettered his Two Oceans time from 6:57 to 3:59 this year by following the "Noakes diet" or low carb high fat (lchf) diet. See the thread about it on this forum.
  9. Discovery Running club is R350 per year kit included. See attached file, I understand it is open for the public and not only Discovery employees. 2011_Letter_to_join_Discovery_Running_Club1.pdf
  10. Did anyone see this guy on Sunday? I surely did not but I saw a lot of guys getting off their bikes and lying on the side of the road in the grass. Maybe you can share your stories?
