Take the wheels off, box them and post them over, will probably cost about R500. Then bring the frame and components in and you wont pay the 15% import duties as that is only for complete bikes, and yours will just be bike components. The 15% you save should more than cover the R500 shipping you pay for the wheels.

29ers also dominated. Looking at the photos, Evans and Stander were on 29ers as were most of the lead pack. 29ers are faster

NO BAR ENDS - the way to go. They catch trees and look tacky. I ride without them and never has issues resting/relaxing my hands.

I have used Cytomax for over 10 years and swear by the stuff. The Tropical flavour is awesome and if you buy the 2.2kg tub it works out to about R11/litre which is MUCH cheaper than USN Epic Pro.

And Compendium, they are the cheapest on household and cars (but not far off) they insure you most expensive bike for free if your policy is over R1000 p/m and then you pay 25% insuance for your other bikes. Someone like me that only has 1 car on the insurance and 4 bikes valued at over R30 000 they were R250 p/m cheaper than anyone else. And the bikes are covereed for races and crashes

Which is still probably R1500 cheaper than it is here. I am all for supporting LBS, but refuse to pay 100% more for an item. The LBS mark ups are much too big and they are going to feel it more and more in this computer savvy day and age.

2 complaints, firstly, why bother having pre-entries if you aren't going to bother checking the numbers and then running out of socks? I know it sounds petty comlaining about socks but I pre-entered and expect to get what everyone else gets. Secondly, why cant they have a regostration point in Pmb also? I dont know about comrades but for Dusi you can register in Pmb or Durban. Loads of people travel down from the North and stay overnight in Pmb, but then have to travel to Durban to register. You should be able to select your registration point and then register in either Pmb or Durban.
