Due to unknown reasons did the company that do the entries didnt print any race numbers for the mtb event.We are very sorry for any inconvenience that this may brought to the cyclist collecting there "race packs" this week The Race tec chip can be used in other events like 94,7 so it's not a waste of money .The 56 km is a double lapper and will be super fast but be careful of the wind and some loose patches of sand ,the race is marked with yellow and black boards and at some of the turns big white arrows on the ground. The race starts and finish on the Tarlton race track. Late entries and race pack collection can be done at the race track from 06:00 tomorrow morning

After scouting the route again yesterday and some serious calculation did we managed to finalized the route. The shorter route will be 30km and the longer one 56km. Pre entries closes 23:00 tonight

Race timed by Racetec Chips will be available at registration. Entries closing on Thursday night 23:00 Enter now for the fastest mtb race in Gauteng.

You can enter on the Friday afternoon at the Randmark clubhouse cnr Homestead and Northway Greenhills Randfontein or on the day of the race at the Tarlton raceway

You start and finish on the Tarlton dragstrip the 60 km will be a double lapper with plenty of road to pass the slower 30km riders if you can catch them . Unfortunately the quarry will not be a feuture this year as there are safety concerns of crossing the tar road . The tar road is very busy lately and it is difficult to stop the big trucks that are using this road now.

Entry fees are 60km (R100), 30km (R50) This race will be the fastest mtb race in Gauteng

Nissan series + SS Timing = *** race race luckly I didnt waste my money and time to do the series this year .And by the way I am still waiting for SS Timing to reply to an E Mail I sent last week to them .

Still no reply from SSTiming .I wonder if they know they have a email adress.

Just one question how can you enjoy a race where you have to push your bike wheather to steep ,the minedump or serious downhills or when other riders are pushing their bikes ? For me when I enjoy a race you must ride the whole way as fast as possible. I enjoyed the Hazeldeane race much more than this one .I realy k@k on the race on Saturday .BTW what distances did you peeps got ? I got 41 km .

I nearly drowned after coming down in the little river crossing on 40k hit the only hole in the river bed and couldnt get my feet out of the pedals. I hope it wasn't the **** water that the 70 k's had to cross. Where was the f@#$%^live savers!

For me the Crater Cruise is very difficult .The race became more tecnical over the years (the section over the koppie and next to the river)but what breaks me every year is the distance causing cramps and other problems .

Luckily my son is playing rugby so I am spared from the Monster

I hope the Stormers have big game temprament unlike the Proteas Go Stormers!!!
