Hi guys, just thought I would let you know that the first batch of 2008 LOOK frames has arrived. Check them out at Tour de Frans or Westdene Cycles. The shops are also in the process of getting demo bikes for you folks to test....so give them a call and see what it's all about. I will also be available for demo's at Kyalami in about 3 weeks time, so please feel free to mail me.

I had the same problem.The best would be to loosten the stems and to flip the bars parrallel to the frames. It's inconvenient but it's the only way they will fit.

I don't ride track myself.....so I can't judge....BUT according to the top boys the 496 is pretty much on top.

Very nice....Almost as nice as the LOOK 496 Track

It's the one on the right. The one on the left is the Carbon. There is hardly a difference between the two.

The total weight of the cheap model is 250g.

R1200 will get you the same axle and bearings(2 sets) but with a Carbon body- 115g R2650 gets you a Carbon body, ti axle and 3 sets of gearings- 99g

You will get a graphite body(same as Keo Classic/Sprint) with a cro-mo axle weighing in at 125g's a pedal.

Hi Mampara, They are double sided. That pedal was discontinued last year. This new one is 1000 times better!! It's LOOK's own patent....and not a copy like the old one. The LOOK 986 should be here early October.

This is LOOK's new MTB pedal(called QUARTZ) that was launched last week at Eurobike in Germany. There will be three versions available.(Starting at R620-R)2650 I think they are superior to anything else on the market. They should be available from middle November.

Got a new Blue Peugeot Rapport in 1987 from Cycle Centre in PTA...paid R 502.88 The good old days!

Hi Bliksempie. The noise normally comes from dirty/worn cleats.....so I am not sure if the carbon's will make it any better. Have u tried the cleats with the teflon(white) friction bits? Always try and use the cleat covers as they keep grit away from your pedals...which can cause your pedals to wear out prematurely. The price of the Carbons will be around the R1470 mark....and you should be able to get them from most good bike shops.

Mampara, LOOK is launching a new MTB pedal at Eurobike(Bike show in Germany)....it is an all new pedal. Awesome!! Carbon body and so on.... I will post a few pics on the board soon. They should be available in SA from November. The pedal you are talking about....is almost the exact same as the Crankbrother pedals...apparently LOOK used better bearings than CB, but I think they were very similar...The new pedal is something totally diffrent. The new LOOK 986 MTB frames will be in SA shortly.It's a Full carbon hardtail with a integrated seatpost, almost the same as the LOOK 595 road frame....they will retail for around R24000 in SA. I will let u guys know the moment I get my first batch.
