  11. The Avalanche that I was looking at are ATX 375 and ATX 575 (R2900 and R4600) then THe Giant was the entry level same specs as the ATX 575 (R4700) the Merida is the TFS 100 d (R4200) Titan was the Spark or start or some thing like that but it was exactly the same as the Avolanche ATX375.(R3000) Where can you buy the merida for R4200?
  12. Haha yeah let them sponsor us the epic (only 30k) and the sani2c surely not too much to ask haha
  13. Im also looking for an entry level MTB, my budget (5k) and advice from hubbers have left me with a few choices, which all fit in the category, any advice on these four? my heart is kinda set on the scott but i hope these four can maybe narrow your search (and mine) down.... Merida TFS 100 d Scott Aspect 30 Schwinn Moab Comp Silverback Saturn 2010 model (can get it for R4800) Oh yes, Hermanus cycles are selling the Scott Aspect 30 for R4700 with free delivery in the Western Cape Good luck!
  14. In the January Edition of Bicycling, they challenged readers to complete a grand slam of cycling events that included the following: 1 x Long Distance ride: Double Century, Sabie Experience, Powerade Kremetart etc 1 x Stage race: Lowveld Cycle Tour, Cape Epic, Sani2c etc 1 x Clasic Race: Argus, Herald, 94.7, Amashova etc 1 x alternative race: Triathlon, Downhill Race, BMX or a time trail Has anyone considered it or currently planning to partake in any of these events? Dont know if there are any prizes etc, just respect and the bragging rights.... Thoughts on this concept? Im currently halfway through, done The Herald and IM 70.3, keen on the DC and possible LOTCR in Hogsback later the year.
  15. @Jaco-fiets: Agreed Has anyone had stomach problems from 32Gi before?
  16. Its a natural reaction cause the product is full of nitrogen and other stuff to dilate blood vessels and send blood to the skin and muscles(hence the tingles and itches too???) its natural and unless it bothers you, then go for it, use it though towards the end or if its a really short race, thats what its made for (you can try experiment with it by making weakened solutions and sipping that continously?) Its very similar to pre workout drinks that guys take before gymming so dont be too frightened, but also dont become reliant on the product, everything in moderation, except the cycling
  17. Im down to 2 myself Scott Aspect 30 vs Merida TFS 100 Both have similar specs and look great (although the scott is a better frame) Hermanus Cycles are having a special on their Aspect 30...R4700 with free delivery in Western Cape Hope it helps Goodluck
  18. im buying one, so go for it!
  19. Read on the internet (Sheldon Brown I think)that you just have to change the inner rings as the offset on the Shimano 10speed is more to the right which closes the gap slightly. FSA seem to be a bigger problem with this change from 9 to 10 speed.
