Exactly. Generally speaking we are quick to have a go at the nonhuman aspects, the processes, the companies, the platforms, the topics, but we tend to skirt around the issue of the people. I think this is because people are inherently conflict adverse.

That’s why you have prefects, aka community Admin, a few Slowbees, to help. Ans to be honest, the amount of posts the actually need moderation are not that many. The community can also take some responsibility and report posts that they deem inflammatory, that removes the issues of having to sift through whole threads. This used to work very well on my gaming forums back in the day.

Moderate bad members, not interesting topics.
