First Cut off: 27km's into the event at water point at 3hours Second cut off: after 7 hours you will not receive timing but can still finish the event. so if you do not make it to the 1st waterpoint in 3hours , you will need to get on the backup truck if you do make it but cannot finish in 7 hours you will not receive timing but can still finish the event.

  11. The trail run is 10km's. Re the hardtail and slick tyres: if it is possible to do it on a proper cyclo cross bike......you add it up. To participate in cyclo cross category you need a proper cyclo cross bike. You can pretty much ride with what you like as long as you're not in contention for the prize money, then certain rules apply. For instance no tt handlebars. Hope this makes sense

Distances: 33 to 35km's per day for the "short route" and 60 to 65km's per day for the "long"route Trails: mostly jeep track, some 4x4 trails added for the technically inclined Venue: Leeuwenboschfontein Guest farm Accommodation: camping at Leeuwenboschfontein or choose to stay in one of the cottages, also quite a few private nature reserves and 4x4 farms with accommodation in 10km's raduis. Event Name: Slanghoek Mountain To Mountain When: 13 October 2012 Where: Slanghoek Wine Cellar, Rawsonville, Goudini, Western Cape Category: MTB Slanghoek Mountain to Mountain MTB Challenge Venue: Slanghoek Wine Cellar Date: 13th October Distances: 15/ 33 & 60km Info: this event forms part of the WP Marathon series for provincial colours. It also forms part of the Breede Kloof Outdoor Festival, that means good food & great wine. Trails: the 33 & 60km are technical trails and the 60km's was part of a 2011 Absa Cape Epic stage. Sand and rocky section taken out and replaced by single track built earlier this year. Entertainment: kiddies care, kiddies play zone, food stall, live entertainment & wine tasting.   23. I'm very curious to know how many cyclists actually owns cyclo-cross bikes as well as what are the events that you use this bike in? Let me know... It seems it is much bigger overseas, they even have a magazine dedicated to Cyclo-Cross.
