    TIME

    I think it's real purdy...
  2. I think it's a good idea. I'm all for everyone trying to keep this sport clean. Whilst I agree that it may be hard, every time someone implements some sort of additional control, it makes it harder for one to get away with it and this type of statement makes it less beneficial to try. Hope it works. Now, if I promise not to dope, I'm open to being sponsored
  3. Love the disappearance over the edge of the trail. Now you see him....
  4. This is why I'm starting A3 this weekend, 'cos I don't dope?
  5. OK, probably costs the same as an entry level MTB. Wonder how much they weigh.
  6. You can contact Terry on Contact Terry on (oh seven nine four eight 2 4658)terry@xterrawetsuits.co.za The guy is super efficient and really helpful. He'll send it up to you wherever you are. Used him for Bela Bela and was blown away by his help. J
  7. I can see why he changed his surname, seems that wouldn't have fitted on a credit card or even a passport.
  8. I'm actually running the Soweto Marathon on Sunday and picked up a few blisters on Sunday gone bye with my last longish training run.
  9. I have developed a blister on each of my feet that I need to have repaired by Saturday. Any ideas on how to get them to the point where they're dry and painless in 4 days?
  10. What's this? A 29mm?
  11. I couldn't agree more wholeheartedly, pity not everyone behaves the same way. Karma scares the living sh~t out of me and it's bitten me in the ass before. Problem is, I didn't always subscribe to this frame of mind, so I'm waiting for payback from years gone by (I didn't always try to be a nice guy)... My only hope is that there is some sort of karmic statute of limitations....
  12. I disagree...
  13. I agree...
  14. Isn't this nice that two one legged people found each other and love all at once...
  15. Frankly, if I have a gun at my head with the holder of said gun demanding my bike and other stuff. I don't give a sh~t what color (s)he is. I think the race is irrelevant here. Like @Riaan Coetzee said, white guys are buying or selling the stolen bikes and parts. Dunno about you, but I've never seen a black guy on a MTB apart from the old poked ones for transport.
  16. OK, done. let's hope it works. TY
  17. You laugh, I also thought it was operator error, that's why I asked my son to give it a go from his machine. I was expecting a bit k~k for this thread anyway... I have a 4Mbps line, used only by me during the day. crtl f5 was useless. Even shut down and rebooted. I thought I was missing something... In fact, it's doing it now, as we speak. As I saved the original version of this post, it went all dodge again. Hmmppffff....
  18. For the past few days, I've been getting this image when trying to get onto The Hub. Can't be my machine, I've tried from IE & Chrome (on both my PC and iPad) as well as my wife's & son's machines (yup, getting withdrawals). Any ideas? Am I the only one?
  19. I only ride in fairly good weather or conditions, my cycling buddies tend to steer clear of anything that looks overcast... Leaves me with riding in the dark on my own as my option. Otherwise, I'm off to the gym :-(
  20. I rode tjoobs for 5500km and had around four punctures. I've been running tubeless for around 1500km now and have had one burp and one flat that required a plug. All in, the tubeless is so much easier for me, I still carry a tube in case it's a big one. Go tubeless.
  21. Looks like vandalism, if it's the Midlands school I went to, the bike shed was a very dodgy place indeed. Never got my bike out of there in the condition it went in. There was no checking to see if you took your own bike out and guys just didn't give a sh~t about other people's stuff. I've had some serious "offs" on my bike and I've never managed to damage a spoke like that. No matter how hard I try. Get the school to pay for the damage, Maybe they'll start managing the flow of bikes a little more effectively.
  22. My thought is that MTB riding in all forms is the least offensive activity, conservation wise you can get. Apart from walking maybe, but who walks? One of the primary reasons why I took up MTB as opposed to road riding was the nature aspect of it. A couple of rule would be, never litter and stay on the trail. How much damage are we actually doing? Most MTB riders appreciate the pristine environments we get to ride in, if we're lucky, so why should one be threatened with arrest? This is just crazy, I fail to see the significant impact some single track will have on the environment, apart from maybe disturbing some of the wild life. Someone please enlighten me here. I fish, catch and release only, even if the fish is tasty to eat. I ride, whatever my limited skill allows me to. Never litter, often pick up rubbish if I find it, I sometimes I feel that I do more for conservation than these f~rking SANPARKS idiots who revel in the sense of power they are afforded by their positions. Maybe you should keep a bit of homegrown litter in your pocket and show it to the guys giving you sh~t next time tell them that's what you've picked up so far and ask haven't cleared it up.
  23. petatodd, I've mentioned more than once that I am not an LA fan, at all, but he's raising money for a good cause. OBL never gave a single cent to those suffering beyond their control. In fact he used the money to cause pain to those who had very little direct control over the "heinous deeds" committed by the US government and their allies. I also suggested that he be banned from competitive sport for life, but participation and being competitive, in my view is different, especially if you are precluded from any of the benefits thereof, be it recognition, prize money, sponsorship (in his personal capacity) or any other self enriching items. I've even suggested fining him a portion of all income earned, including sponsorship monies, during his time in the saddle. I realize that my view may be unconventional, but as someone who knows people who have suffered and in some cases lost their battles with cancer, i can't help but think that even the work these guys are doing is noble, in spite of the fact that they are crooked sports people. I'm going to try and become a fly on the wall in this thread. I think the mods should can it and replace it with the burlesque & tattooed thread, minus the porn of course. OBL's ghost could be watching and I imagine he'd like to have a bicycle laden with fanatics ridden into The Hub HQ
  24. Ordered mine last week and it has arrived already. Big up to these guys, good quality item and delivered quickly and efficiently. +1
  25. My word those Canyon bikes are great looking.
