  1. The value of that bike can't be beat. Like others have said we offer legendary support and backup and the Cypher has proven itself as a very capable and reliable bike. Like Sting said, let your soul be your pilot. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to drop us a DM.
  2. πŸ‘Š That's great to hear. Thanks for your support. πŸ‘
  3. It will work for long days in the saddle and dare we say that the slightly more upright riding position, wider tyres and increase in travel will make it easier on the body. If you're out to smash PR's and attack Strava segments, a race-orientated hardtail would make more sense, for quite a bit else, this is the one to go for.
  4. Right, where were we? Here are the full geo charts Between the flip chip and headset cup there are quite a few options to play with to dial the bike in to your liking. Feedback on this: The ST angle stated in the image on the press release is the low position on the DC - so effectively, the slackest it can be on the bikes. In the High position, the ST angle is 74. The ST angle on the RS is 75 in the LOW and 75.5 in the HIGH. Because the ST angle is something that will be affected by the fork length on the DC and the flip chip, we designed the ST angle to be not too high in its steepest position (HIGH POS RS) and not too slack in its slackest position (LOW POS DC). Based on 5 years of feedback from the team and riders on the Cypher, we found that this window works the best with the least compromise, and found that the saddle rail adjustment was effective in fine-tuning fit. Trust this helps, but let us know if you'd like any additional info.
  5. That they do 😎
  6. Great shot! Thanks for your support πŸ‘Š
  7. We're just making the numbers look pretty then we'll share it here. I'll ask Cliff to chime in on this one.
  8. We will be able to confirm that as soon as the stock bikes arrive. We always quote actual weights of bicycles in the real world.
  9. Ah, yes - good catch. They have a team sponsor that supplies wheels.
  10. Thanks πŸ‘Š Our mission is to be a part of the community, both here on Bike Hub and the wider cycling community, rather than just being a brand that sells into the community. The questions Hubbers ask, the suggestions you guys make and the feedback we receive we can short-circuit into R&D, spec changes or future updates. Our new DT protector on the 2nd gen Cypher is a good example of this. Also, being close to where the tire hits the dirt or tar, helps us stay in touch and in tune with potential buyers and current owners - it's the only way to do it! Lastly, we are also consumers. What is more frustrating than reaching out to a brand or company for support or a basic question and being ghosted, or talking to a temp holiday worker with no vested interest?
  11. Seriously though, we're certainly not rubber stamping asking R295k for a MTB, but the video makes some good points in terms of a top-end MTB being basically race-ready, with little needed to do other than personal preferences, vs a motorbike that most likely won't last a proper race in the category it falls in. The Valley Electrical Titan Racing Team took our stock Cypher RS Carbon Team bikes, changed tires, changed chainrings and added some spares, bottle cages and pedals, and took it to the Cape Epic for 8 days of dust hell. You can watch that video HERE:
  12. It doesn't. Or, it doesn't have to...
  13. Typo our side. The site is being updated as I type.
  14. Thanks to your feedback here, along with others who reached out, we've managed to improve the downtube protection on the 2nd Gen Cypher range. See it here.
  15. The Smart Choice 😎 In the DC Ultimate you get Fox Factory suspension, SRAM XX SL AXS drivetrain, SRAM Level Ultimate Stealth brakes, Reynolds Carbon wheels (with Industry Nine hubs!), Carbon handlebar, carbon stem and a Fox Transfer dropper for R170k. R150k gets you the Cypher Carbon RS Team with RS SID SL Ultimate suspension, SRAM XX SL drivetrain, SRAM Level Silver stealth brakes, Reynolds Carbon wheelset, carbon bar, carbon stem, carbon seatpost...all you have to do is add podium medals. And maybe some sealant. Like @DieselnDust said, R170k and R150k is still a lot of money, but we've left nothing on the table to bring riders a top-end bike with top-end specs. No GX mix drivetrain and Fox Performance in sight on our top-of-the-range bikes. That would be a giant mistake. Now, let's take another look at the DC Ultimate...
  16. That is excl the shock, but all other rear suspension hardware included.
  17. We have the Titan Racing Switch LTD on the website and that's available from dealers nationwide. More models will be released later this year - around July/August.
  18. Let me check and confirm...
  19. Thanks πŸ‘Š We'll be here come upgrade time. 😎
