SlowPoke, I agree totally. And I accept that the seller is probably busy at work. In fairness, the phone just went to voicemail. Also, with the SMS that they sent suggesting that I contact the other interested party I just find that unacceptable. I could not sell something on to someone knowing that it was broken. I have been advised that even a purchase under VOETSTOETS circumstances allows me a 7 day "cool off" period, of which I was unaware. I also want to try resolve this without naming the seller, because they work for a very well respected bike shop.

The seller claimed that the frame had never been in a crash, and that it was fine. I dont think its right to sell something that could prove to be fatal.

I must admit, I was looking at that Raliegh full carbon, and its damn nice!! As for the exotic, its very exotic!!

I know...I'm trying to be nice here. I'm giving the seller the benefit of the doubt here, as they claim they did not know about the crack. I just tried to contact the person, but it went to voice mail...

Advice please... I bought a very exotic carbon fibre frameset from a "Hubber" on monday, and when I took it to my local bike shop yesterday they refused to work on the frame because it is cracked. I contacted the seller, and explained the situation... and the seller said they would refund me my money but I would have to wait until they had been paid. (Fair enough) But an hour after the conversation I was sent an SMS by the seller with the number of the other person that was interested in the Frameset, and told "I hope you come right with this" What should I do?

Hmmm. They should offer the job to Shawn Lynch. He's the only person smart enough to think 10steps ahead of the doping procedure's...he'd get my vote anyway.

Bond/new ride...its all the same. You should not have to worry about recieving your money. It was not a hassle for you to pay for it, so why should it be a hassle to be paid fot it? There are a lot of people out there willing to take advantage of people that are too trusting. Sorry Az, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you...

Spinnekop, I agree with your notion that Pro Cyclists are not the smartest. However, I doubt said Pro's would be in charge of buying their own dope...surely medical staff would do that, as well as the administration of the dope? Ok, I'm not trying to cause any trouble here, I just want an opinion. I'm new to the Hub, so this may be an already debated topic. Do you think Landis used the testosterone? I dont. I cannot see the benefit of a top pro cyclist using testosterone in this day and age. Maybe in the early 80's, but not now. BetaMax has no place in a digital age,neither does Testosterone...especially when it is SO easily detected in a Tox screen, and is a very dirty and difficult drug to get rid of. Also, Perriero is walking a very fine line, because he has been caught 'testing' the boundaries of the doping rules a few years ago. I agree, it is a total farce. I am lately shy of admitting that I am a cyclist because peoples first reaction is that you are also full of EPO & other crap. I accept that no one cyclist will ever be bigger than the actual sport, but the damage they are doing is becoming irreversible. Will the Tour (& the sport) survive??

Just take your first few rides easy, and once you've been given the go-ahead from your Doc to ride dont be afraid to use your wrist!! It can handle the ride, although you may be a bit 'wobbly' at first!!

Ask your local pharmicist for an up to date "MIM's" it lists all the banned substances. Your Dr/GP can also provide you with the list...They are very easy to obtain.

Well, he's done his ban sentence and therefore he's free to compete again... It is scary to think that the Vets are resorting to Pharmaceutical Enhancement?!
