Thanks Midge and Sharon for all the effort and hard work you put in. Between you and Wayne from Lights for Linea the level of Cape Town racing is definitely increasing.

Maroesjka got anther 3rd in yesterdays 10 km scratch race. Was a race where they could earn ''UCI points, quite a big one. Also won two hotspots in a 'hotspot' race.

Johan Rabie also do an excellent job.

Just a quick update. Dont have the all the details yet. Had a message on my phone when I woke up. Maroesjka had a good nights racing last night winning something got a 3rd in the elimination, 4th and 5th in something else. Also finished 5 in the omnium. Think now that she got the podium feeling we will see a lot more of it.

She said she could feel the 36 hour trip in her legs. Managed to shore points in a sprint in the point’s race. She also got a 6th place in the scratch. Also she mentioned that she used the wrong gearing, used the same than she usually use at the Veledome and said she need to go a gear heavier.

Had a quick chat to Maroesjka just now. She is busy builing hrt track bike for tonight's racing. This will be here first race there aftet arriving last night, aftet a 36 hour trip. Will keep you posted on her racing.

Thanks a lot Wayne. WOW!!! That’s the only word that can describe this. Maroesjka is over the moon. She really tried everything to try and make the money, with everything always ending up at a dead end and here you are an angel out of heaven. It really means a lot to us and I know she will race her ass off to show her appreciation! Please let us know when your in Cape Town, beers on us!

Looking forward for this event. Going to be some good racing, can't wait.

I also lost my Garmin on the descent just before Paardeberg climb. Went back later that afternoon and luckily it was still next to the road... Thank goodness

So there is something wrong with ur eyes, rather stop sturing k@k ont the hub behind your computer and go for an eye test.

Mayne you must make sure of your facts as all the cape town market riders were doimg the race this mornimng ... so none of us could be there. And WE, ctm always use the cycling lane.

By ons het almal hulle lee bottels ens. terug in die feeding bag gesit en almal dit op dieselfde plek gedrop, die back-up het gestop sakke opgetel en weer gebruik vir die volgende feeding point.
