  1. This is so 100% true - I'm proper mulling over giving a review for 3 or 4 stars because the seller did not make full disclosure on the colours - in the pictures it was clearly black with white branding but on arrival it was black with pink branding. The seller said, "oh couldn't you see in the pictures ?". I said "no" and asked a few people who agreed that the pink was clearly white in the pics. The seller should've offered to take the item back with refund but he did not. If he had, I still would've kept the item and given him a star rating. But I know that if I give him 3 or 4 stars he'll be pissed and come back at me and he really was a really nice guy. This isn't really, always the solution. As above, I still would've kept the item but the seller should've disclosed in the advert, in the discussions or offered to refund and return.
  2. that's new - and that's the answer - just go and give bad reviews - might shake them up
  3. My opinion on this is that some people have all their notification settings switched off and they don't list their telephone numbers so they simply do not receive the messages requesting info or offers to purchase. I wanted to buy a saddle from someone and sent about 5 messages over the course of about 8 or 9 days asking for them to please make contact so that I could buy the saddle. I wasn't going to negotiate or anything. Eventually I got so the hell in that I offered them half - thinking that will maybe get their attention. They replied a few days later that it was sold. Pity that you cant review someone with whom you did not buy something from.
  4. ZWIFT has become insanely expensive, especially for a household with more than one account - my wife and I both have individual accounts and the annual cost is now ridiculous. Still waiting on their "Family Membership Plan"... ... ... ...
  5. Hey there - just noticed that start location has changed from Pedal and Sprocket ? Why ? Sadly the new start is not convenient.
  6. So my thinking was heading towards the contents of each individuals sweat with regards minerals, iron, magnesium, etc as perhaps some if these are more aggressive. I do not sweat bucketloads but I do take a special homeopathic metals and minerals formula to boost my naturally low levels that lead to excessive cramp. This was my thinking, but my wife does not take this supplement and nor do my mates who have recently (last 2 years) also started to suffer from the "see-through-crack" dilemma. Maybe I just don't drink enough beer.
  7. you referring to my hand desperately trying to hold the shorts up and wide apart so that the other hand can take a picture ?
  8. Thanks pal but its not the saddle issue. Same happens to my wife and also to our mates with the new generation Assos bibs.
  9. For all of you to whom this has clearly never happened before, here is a one year old pair of Assos Mille GTS shorts, worn no more than once per week in this period. The thinning starts in the centre of the panels and not at the seams.
  10. the fabric of my shorts and those of my wife's are most certainly not stretched "at its extreme" on any ride. Our shorts are the correct fit.
  11. So what brands then ? Castelli for me was even worse than the Assos although their new shorts seem to have differently designed panels that run horizontal instead of vertical.
  12. I only use my old bibs on the IDT - once they've already gone see through...
  13. This is my point exactly ! I started off with reckless abandon like yourself but the shorts went see through so I started to follow manufacturer's guidelines, etc. I now doing everything "right" but my shorts still go see through, albeit that they last slightly longer. So my point exactly is that it happens always to some people and never to others. The point of this thread is to try and find some commonality.
  14. Did you read my post from start to end ? This is exactly the problem, I do use a wash bag, gentle wash, zero enzyme washing powder, etc. This proves my point exactly that some people can look after bibs terribly and they'll never go see through whilst some of us treat them impeccably but they still go see-through in a relatively short space of time. I honestly think it's to do with percentage of salts, minerals, iron, magnesium, etc in some people's sweat.
