  1. Thanks so much, got some of these and they work perfectly, strong as hell and soft on the frame ????
  2. Awesome, I didn't even think of those, thanks @slickjay007 Thanks for all the advice guys, gotta love Bikehub
  3. Those look pretty good, I'll pick up a set and give it a go. Thanks I see they have these too, might be a little easier on the frame https://www.outdoorwarehouse.co.za/product/flexi-tie-5-in-1-set-one-of-each-size-per-pack/6508 Yup it was cut shorter, 99% of the time its just my bike on it, so not too worried about the spacing
  4. I'm open to all ideas. Might be worth investigating some of the other brands for something similar(and cheaper lol).
  5. Thanks guys I've been looking at a solution for this, at the moment I use a rope strap. But I'd like to get something like this, just not sure where to get one.
  6. Not really a conventional build project, probably not even a build or a project really, but let me show you my rack. So I recently finished building my bike, including a respray... On the first trip out I realized that my current hang-on rack was doing some damage to the bike. I needed a new rack urgently. With a baby drinking(and pooing) all our funds away, a shiny new rack from a showroom floor was out of the question. So I found a decent one, but it was in really bad shape, but hey, it was R500, so it was worth a shot, right? A few supplies: Some elbow grease and a grinder(I shortened the rack to a two bike one instead) All done and believe it or not, the wiring worked perfectly and nothing fell off, so a win in my books.
  7. Hey guys I recently finished rebuilding my 2012 Stumpjumper FSR. I bought it here on BikeHub and initially it was supposed to be a "true the rear wheel and get a NW chainring" kinda build. 6 months(and a few undeclared rands) later and here we are
  8. I haven't been on a bike since 2014, so its awesome to be back. Got myself a 2011 Giant XTC SL. So far I've just tried to make it slightly more uncomfortable.
  9. Awesome, thanks so much for the quick response
  10. Good morning fellow hubbers! I'm unsure if this has been answered before, so apologies if its another thread about the same issue. Does anyone know if the SLRs from 2011(red hubs) are 11 speed compatible? Any info would be appreciated. Cheers Wedge
  11. I had a great outing, was on a 42x16 did a 4:02 But I wont lie, next year I'll be on a road bike
  12. I used a 42x16 I found it a bit short on the downhill sections, but the climbs came out out pretty sweet(barring the last 1km climb, jaysas)
  13. I recently converted to singlespeed and I'm loving every moment of it This is my girl in her dirty clothes http://photostand.co.za/images/imkst01b69qx1gpd7hy5.jpg And this is her in her 94.7 kit http://photostand.co.za/images/b187816r713qin9nohqz.jpg I doubt I'll ever go back to geared or dare I say, suspension

You reckon it might be time to replace the crank all together?

Thanks, I actually forgot about them, they have been extremely helpful in the past! If it becomes too much of an issue I'll just look at replacing the crank with a more standardized one
