  1. Good morning Hubbers, It's been a while since I visited here. Background - I stopped cycling maybe 10 years ago when my first child was born and pivoted to ultra running. I entered the 2026 Berg and Bush and am now looking at options, as my trusty GT Peace SS might not be the best option. I am aware that the One-Twenty has been relaunched and that this is an older model, but I would love some input from the community on this listing --> MERIDA 120 XT-EDITION (M) **XT-12SPD** | Dual Suspension Mountain Bikes | Bike Hub At first glance, components and suspension setup looks decent enough and the bike looks in good condition. Any input from One-Twenty owners on the ride quality etc? TIA
  2. Anyone here taking on SkyRun this year?
  3. Would be interesting, will kill the CPT Marathon unless this potentially moves to the July slot as an early qualifier
  4. Thanks for the response! Yeah, I am in 2 minds at the moment. No refreshment stations in the Oct heat is going to be rough for me.
  5. @Lexx, how do you rate the Uitsoek Mountain Marathon? See you ran it a few years back
  6. Now I know where the user name comes from
  7. De Toren Fusion V 2009, last of my stock sadly
  8. Initial review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ee1TGIfwS9A 200 mile review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ft864rHFio0 (After all these years, still can't embed a clip)
  9. I had more than 1000kms on my previous Peregrines inc Otter, Mont Aux and NumNum and they held up great. Current version seems even more robust
  10. I might have missed it, will runners be allowed to cross borders to get to the race?
  11. In the Peregrine 10s at the moment, great shoe. My first time back in Peregrine since the 4 and a welcome return since I have ran in the Hierro, Salomon SLab Sense Ultra, Nike Wildhorse 5 and Speedgoat 4 - none of which worked for my feet. The peregrine just works, low stack, great traction and just feels quick.
  12. Hypothetically - Where would one locally source a Surly KM frame these days?
  13. Waiting for the build pics ......
  14. That's one hell of a first post!
  15. Tend to agreed, you want to give your quads a break and focus on pulling the pedal towards you on longer, more gradual climbs
