  1. CRC has excellent prices, but the additional charges (Duties, VAT, ect.) before you can take receipt is just too much I rather order from LBS and let them deal with such issues. Also if anything breaks, then the LBS will sort it out.
  2. Thanks for the advice. Probably set on the Mavics
  3. Want to get myself this wheel set. Any views? Should I go for it.
  4. Now compared that to Solomons in Woodmead. Had to re-fit new front derailer. Asked the boss-man behind the counter if they could help me,he called one of his mechanics, and fitted it, no problem. He didn't want me to pay for it. But I did end up buying something at the shop, while they fitted it(Think outside the box). That's service. I will go there again and make referrals.
  5. Thanks Tankman, So if I understand correctly, I can use the new GXP BB on a frame that would normally use an English BB, with the SRAM Crank? Must it be a SRAM GXP (enabled) Crank?
  6. Any of these ones: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Categories.aspx?CategoryID=537
  7. I got the Microshift Arsis. Don't want to spend a hectic amount of money on a crank, but also don't want a heavy piece of metal. Possibly between R1K - to R3k?
  8. Hi dudes, I need to buy a road crank, and I hear FSA make good ones. Please advise which one to buy, e.g Carbon/Compact ect and perhaps model name. I see CRC has some crazy prices on FSA cranks Thanks peeps.
  9. OK. Is is a Chinese import. Is it best to send it to the LBS, i.e. will they KNOW what to do or is there a DIY manual? Much appreciated!
  10. Does anyone have any experience with an ISP (Integrated Seat Post) frame? I assume the seat post need to be "cut"? Frame is on the way, but I thought I'll get some info while waiting
  11. Sad. So there is no relation to how fit you are and living living longer than normal person who does not exercise.

    Decals

Ok I can google it, but where can I find someone to do decals on a road frame and wheels? Recommendations appreciated!
  13. Hi spanner, Be VERY careful, I was also going to try out DengFu, but looks like my gmail account got hacked in some way. As the person insisted in using Western Union, and not paypal. I went to WU and they also warned me, that I should not use WU, if I do not know the person on the other side. I eventually found the correct person, phoned him, and he did not have any context of what I tried to explain to him (added to the fact that his English was bad) and now I may get the goods. (pays to keep on trying). And he is asking the correct questions, e.g. shipping address, etc. The email address the fraudster was using was exactly the same, except it ended with yahoo.com. Will keep you guys informed.
  14. Yeah.. I saw it here: (https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/105704-chinese-carbon/page__st__40), and from my research they seem credible. Has anyone one else deal with them?
  15. No fool. I am going to try out frame + other accessories from www.dengfubikes.com Looks like they are more familiar with Western Union.
  16. Hi guys, How do one use western union to send money? What information etc...how do you initiate transaction...
  17. Ok. Any idea of how much the customs (duty) would be on R18k set wheels?
  18. Thanks. The problem with the local guys are, that they either don't have stock or they don't know what you are looking for. Ordering on-line is so much easier.
  19. Hi guys, Will there be any issues in buying Mavic wheels from CRC. I see they have a 'Not available outside EU' notice (But the site still allows you to buy...)
