  1. Also paid them a visit about two weeks ago and must agree that they do have awesome service.
  2. My training routine stopped for 70.3. Give the body some time to heal. Will start the hydrating fase today and then add the carbo loading phase by Thursday. Feels weird, no where to run/cycle or swim to this morning..
  3. Visited the local LBS, I see the safety qulification mark CE 1078 and CPSC is the same, the first being the European mark and the latter one American. If I understood it correctly. In any event bought a new helmet, just to make one hundred percent sure.
  4. Bought a cheapie Mr Price Maxed helmet about two years ago..
  5. How will I know if my helmet is CPSC approved, must there be sticker attached to it confirming the aformentioned?
  6. Yes with an already strecthed butged for the70.3 race, the Garmin will have to wait tilla later date. But the smarties can work..
  7. At this time I'm just looking for something cheap, must just press a button and show me a number..
  8. Do any of you guys know wher can I buy a gadget to count the laps done during my pool training sessions? Gets frustrating after a while to remember the amount of laps finished..
  9. Just for interest sake for the guys that participated in previous 70.3 Ironmans, what was the average time that it took to you finish each discipline?
  10. Thanks, tubeless here I come..

It seems it will be easier to just take them off. Thaks for all the input. Just as a matter of interest, the normal handlebars usually fitted to the tri bikes, will they be allowed for all triathlon/duathlon races?

Maybe not so much for the sprint distance, but otherwise I enjoy leaning on them when I ride. If they are not legal for the BSG series I dont think they will be legal in the Ironman events. I'll rather change them and stay on the safe side.

Being a newbie to the triathlon scene, I was wondering whether my clip-ons will get me disqualified. .3. HANDLEBARS. Only traditional drop handlebars are permitted. Clip-ons will be permitted provided they do not extend more than 15cm beyond the front wheel axle, and are not longer than the brake levers' foremost line. Straight forward clip-ons must be bridged and must not carry forward-facing brake levers. No forward facing bar or gear shifters are allowed on the end of the clip-ons. All bar ends must be properly plugged. Can the experts help?

  24. I also live in Pta East, and is also looking for a place to do some open water swimming. I know some of my fellow tri athletes drive out to a dam near Rustenburg somewhere to do training. Except for that do you guys know of any swimming pools where you can train, except for Virgin Active?
  25. And another, I just love aviation photography.
